Major failure in user inspection
My current residence is in a very remote area of Kawasaki, where the nearest convenience store is 1km away.
I haven't used public transportation since I became a Japanese citizen, and I've been traveling only by motorcycle and car, so I don't usually have any trouble, but if the motorcycle shop I work with doesn't have a loaner car, I'll have to pay 10,000 yen for a round trip cab, in addition to the vehicle inspection fee....
I bought my GSX-S1000 used, and it has only been ridden about 2,000km since delivery because of the corona disaster. So, I thought it would be fine to pass the inspection....
I'm going to try user inspection.
Actually, I had made a reservation but had to cancel it due to work commitments, so the day of the event was the last weekday before the vehicle inspection expired. I was in a hurry to finish my homework on the last day of summer vacation.
My tax certificate is missing due to the sluggishness of moving, so the first thing I need to do is to reissue it.
They can only reissue tax certificates for motorcycles at the ward office... I'm stuck.
It was already evening at this point. There was no time to go to the ward office and come back... I had no choice but to call the bike shop and say, "I'll bring the tax certificate later, can I leave the bike today? I called the bike shop and asked if I could leave the bike there today.
However, the quote I received was for only oil and brake fluid change and no other inspection. Hmmm... The difference between this and the user inspection is too big... I'll have to pay for a cab in addition to this....
In the end, I didn't take the car in for inspection, but went straight home.
