So, I'm off to Izu again this week. I can't go to the mountains anymore for fear of icy roads and snow."How about touring?"I just came home and saw that it had snowed in the evening on the Izu Skyline today.
By the way, I went up to Hakone around 5 p.m. to take a bath in the hot spring. The temperature at Hakone Pass is minus 2 degrees Celsius.Because it was ”Road freezing when I got out of the bath: .... Worst snowfall ever: ......" So I got off at Odawara without stopping.
But it was not so cold on the plains. I left home just before 9:00 a.m. and there was a bit of sunshine. But I was wearing my Heatech gear for the night. I took the Tomei-Oda-Atsu route to the Ito area.
`Last week was all about mountains as we went from the Izu Skyline to the Amagi Pass, but this week we saw the ocean for the first time in a while. The sea is really nice.
Wild boar hot pot for lunch
After reading people's blogs, I found Koaji-tei's ”venison steak" I googled it because I wanted to try it, but unfortunately the restaurant closed last year...... I wanted to try some kind of gibier: ..... I continued googling and found this boar hot pot.
It tastes like..... It's pretty ordinary. It's a little cosmetic, so I think I'll just eat it once. I heard that the restaurant recommended the raw wasabi rice bowl and strawberry dessert, so I made a mistake in my choice...... Next time, I'll try the raw wasabi rice bowl.
After eating dinner, we went to Nishi-Izu.
In the morning, the sun was shining in Higashi-Izu, but around noon, clouds started to appear.Wind turbines at the Higashi-Izu wind power plantI was thinking of going to the southernmost tip of the Izu Peninsula to see..... But I changed my plans. We headed for Nishi-Izu via Shizuoka Prefectural Road 15, chasing the sun.
By the way, this photo is the best view.Processing on InstagramAnd no, I'm not. Seriously, the weather was like spring, and the sea and sky were super beautiful.
Well, some of the photos have been processed.
I parked my bike on the side of the road and enjoyed the sea breeze, which made me a little sleepy. After lunch, I wanted to take a break, so I had a canned coffee by the beach. The sun was shining and I was basking in the sun.
It's already 2:30 p.m., and I'm still in a daze. The sun will be setting in about two hours...... Touring in winter, the day is short....... Via the West Amagi Kogen Road to the West Izu Skylan.
We were on the beach just a few minutes ago, but in a flash we were in the mountains. The Izu Peninsula is a wonderful place to enjoy both the sea and the mountains. I was driving down the road, but the sun was setting around Kannami Town. I thought I'd take a hot spring bath, so I headed for Hakone, but as I mentioned at the beginning, it was bitterly cold.
I hurriedly turned on the Heatech and went down the mountain and home.
The most useful winter equipment in today's touring.
Heatech top and bottom&socks with soft skin&Grip heaterThis is the one that won first place over the winter touring equipment called.
the so-called"A body warmer to be applied over clothes"I put this on my waist and went out. I put it on my waist and went out, and it was very effective. Before going up to Hakone, I didn't feel so cold even without turning on the heater until I saw the temperature was 5 degrees Celsius: ..... Huh? So I guess I don't need to buy a Heatech, I can just buy a bunch of this stuff.
