Yesterday, I went touring on my rental bike, a Suzuki Bandit 1250F.Bandit Impressions ArticleI also wrote about it here.
The rental starts after the bike shop opens, so we left after 11:00. We rentedKannana Minami Senzoku 2 Rinkan。I used to live 5 minutes walk from here until last year, but now it takes me 20 minutes by bike.
The plan the day before was to go to the highlands of Nagano, see a waterfall, eat soba noodles and soft ice cream, and then come back. Bandit was so easy to handle that I couldn't believe I was riding it for the first time, and I was able to pass through some traffic, but it was already past 12:30 when I reached the Shakado PA, my first rest stop.
Initially, I was planning to go to the Ina Interchange and roam around Kaita Kogen, but actually, at this point, my impression of Bandit was not so good and I was thinking, "I might as well go home early today. I got off the highway at the Nirasaki interchange, because I was tired of the highway.
It's a good idea to have a good idea of where you're going to be going. I had no choice but to take the T-junction at the interchange exit and start riding in the direction where I could see the mountains. .... And as expected, I got lost.
We stopped to take a break and I looked at my phone and saw that the road we were on was the Shosenkyo Line. Ah, a famous place for autumn leaves. I haven't been there yet.
Then, the destination is decided. Check the approximate route on your phone and go. There are many twists and turns along the way, so you won't get bored.
A rental bike with near-new tires is smooth in the corners: .... I think it's time to change the tires on my Ninja. ..... It's a lot of fun. It's a good idea to take a break and check the map again at the Arakawa Dam and Lake Nosen.
Ah, Shosenkyo is already very close.
In no time at all, we were at Shosenkyo. We parked our motorcycles in the free parking lot and ate first. There was a restaurant where we could eat outside, so we had Hoto. It seemed to be a restaurant that specializes in "Nagashi Somen" (flowing noodles), and water was flowing all around the table. There was also a sink-noodle facility made of bamboo along the river.
When you are full, take a walk to the waterfall.
On the way back to the bike, we found a place where we could go down to the river and enjoy a rest by the water.
At this point, it's almost 4:00 p.m. Even though Bandit is getting more and more fun, the normal halogen headlights seem to be too dark, so it's time to head home. Since I couldn't use the navigation system, I decided to take a road that was easy to find and that I knew... So I decided to head for Mt. Fuji from Kofu, take a hot spring bath, and then take the 246 or Tomei highway home.
The road was empty, so I almost got lost, but I made it to 246 via Yamanakako and got home around 10 p.m. I had to take several breaks at convenience stores and Komeda Coffee because my ass was hurting from the Bandit seat, so I was a little late. Today's mileage was about 400km, but I didn't look at the odometer so I don't know the exact distance.
Oh, I forgot to take a bath in the hot spring..... orz
