With the busy end of the fiscal year and the need to fill up the available rental bike slots, I've been touring on a rental big bike for a while now. While I've been riding around town, it's been three months since I've taken the NInja 400 out of the Tokyo/Kanagawa area for a tour........
I washed my car last weekend and the other day.I also removed the gunk from the drive sprocket. So, I put in FUEL 1, and we were off.
Incidentally"Effective"and those who say"No effect"The main ingredient in FUEL 1 is a cleaning agent that is also mixed with high-octane gasoline (but it is thicker), so I think the reason is that it is more effective on regular gasoline cars and less so on high-octane cars. In my case, ..... I don't know, because I use it quite regularly. I like this kind of chemical. I'm not sure if it's because I've been using it quite regularly.
Now, where to go. As usual, I haven't decided yet, so I'll think about it as I run........ Somatakyo and Okuoi Lake Station: ....... Passing the Tomei entrance: ........ Venus Line: ........ Passing the entrance to the Chuo highway: ......... Tohoku direction: ......... Let's take the new Ninja 1000 I'm borrowing for the next few days: ........ So that's it.
Feeling the full-blown arrival of spring as the insects buzzed against the shield of my helmet and died: ......orz
Kusatsu (2 weeks in a row)
No, you can't tell from this picture. I ended up getting on the Kanetsu and getting off at the Shibukawa-Ikaho Interchange as usual, and before I knew it I was headed for Kusatsu. I wanted to take a bath in the morning, and since it wasn't a rental bike, I didn't have to worry about the return time, so I started taking a bath at noon.
There are many day trip hot springs in Kusatsu Onsen, but today I'm going to visit Otakinoyu. Whenever I feel like taking a lazy break on the tatami, I stop by here.
I like lukewarm water, so my favorite isNishi-no-kawara Open-air BathBut that place doesn't have a resting area where you can lie down, right?
So, we enjoyed the hot spring in the daytime. I haven't found a good place to eat in Kusatsu yet, so I googled it on my phone and found that there were a lot of restaurants in Kusatsu.Touring rider's favorite pork cutlet shopIt seems that there are two of them. It's only a few minutes away from Otakinoyu: .......... But the parking lot was crowded: ...... And at the same time as me, about 10 masses of people also rushed into the parking lot: ........ I'll pass.
7I heard that the cabbage will be replaced by new cabbage produced in Kusatsu from the beginning of March, so we should revisit around that time.
I don't like to eat in line unless I'm with a girl I can talk to........
So we ended up at a soba noodle restaurant where we saw a parking lot and had a colander and tempura of wild vegetables.
At the store, several clerks in the store ask me, "Have you been to the Snow Corridor yet?" I was asked. Apparently, there is a lot of snow this year and it's worth seeing, so they recommend it.Visited last weekbut it sure was amazing.
However, there seemed to be a good amount of cars on the Shiga-Kusatsu-Kogen route today. That route is always more fun when it's empty, so we decided to pass on it today. After leaving the restaurant, I headed toward Tsumagoi. I wanted to see the green of the cabbage fields........ I thought it was.......
I guess it's the time between winter and spring cabbages. All the fields were bare of soil. Too bad. Last yearMT-09 When I came here with Tracer, the green cabbage was spectacular. It was, wasn't it?
We went to an unmanned station to find a resting point. This is the terminal station of the Azuma Line. I'm sure there are no iron geeks here, but it's nice.
There are only vending machines around the station. After taking a rest and drinking a canned coffee, we headed towards Karuizawa on the open road. I saw a signboard for the Asama Memorial Museum, so I dropped in.
Asama Memorial Hall
I'm not really interested in the old cars of the generation I don't know, but the Rikuo was cool........ I'm not really interested in the old cars of the generation I don't know, but the Rikuo was cool.
The museum is not that big, and we finished it in no time, so we continued our ride. Unlike renting a bike, I didn't have to worry about the return time, so I didn't use my phone's navigation system and just followed the roads I saw, feeling like I was getting closer to Tokyo. The next thing I knew, I was riding along the Himekaido Momiji Line.
Passing from Karuizawa to Shimonita, I see it on the side of the road."devil's apron"I was thinking, "Isn't Shimonita supposed to be green onions? It was almost evening when I was driving. I was trying to think of a route home."Roadside Station Shimonita"We will stop.
It's written on the blue sign."Nanjai!"After taking a picture of the name of the place, I turned on my phone's navigation system and studied my route home. Yeah, yeah. It's only about 140km to my house, so I can just head towards Kanetsu and get on the highway when it gets dark.
Refuel with something sweet before you leave: ........
I took the Kanetsu Expressway from the Arashiyama-Ogawa IC to avoid the traffic jam around the Hanazono IC. On the way, I ate a curry cutlet at Miyoshi PA to appease my craving for pork cutlet that had risen during the day, and went home.
I've noticed a problem: .......
This time I rode about 450km. It's been a while since my last touring trip on the Ninja 400. I was thinking that this class of bike is good for riding on the road........ It's been a while since I've ridden any distance.Compared to touring with large vehicles, the level of fatigue after returning home is different.
I have a workmate of the same age as me who does 800km day trips from before sunrise to midnight on his cafe custom SR400, but that is absolutely impossible. After all, a Ninja 400 is only good for a day trip of 500km or less.
I reaffirmed that the ease on the highway & the long distance I can drive in a day are the merits of the large size. Next time."Going with the new NInja 1000(If I can get up early enough.)Tohoku Touring"Followed by ......
I also have a rental reservation for a Suzuki GSX-S1000F in May.(*´∀`*)
