Many things arrive.
I'm a heavy user of Amazon, so I get various boxes every two days, not just bike stuff. This is what it looked like last year: ......
This is the one that arrived today (and there are two other boxes as well)
Baby face frame slider
I've seen some people say that you shouldn't put sliders on a bike because it's dangerous if the bike slips and falls while riding on a public road, but after doing some research, it seems that there is no reason to worry about the material and the pace of riding. So, I bought them yesterday.
One task in the rainy season: ....... I can't.
It had been raining since this morning, but it cleared up by midday. I looked out the window and saw that the road was starting to dry out.
It's a good idea to put on a slider before you fall ..... I went to the parking lot with my tools.
By the way, I've had this cover on my Ninja 650 since I got it, and it seems to have stopped the stray cats from sleeping on the seat. I think one of the reasons is that it doesn't smell like pee, unlike the old cover, but the other reason is that I chose a cover that has room for a box in the rear, and as a result, there is no more space at the seat.
So, after removing the cover, I was looking at the parts: ....... "You don't have a hex ratchet this size, do you?" I noticed that it was not the right size. I checked to make sure, but the size didn't fit with the tools I had on hand.......
To Chiba.
When I took delivery of the bike the other day, I was so busy that I forgot to bring the spare key and the original vehicle inspection certificate to the store where I traded in my NInja 400. I thought I had the vehicle inspection certificate on the bike, but it was a copy.
I wanted to run a little bit anyway, so I decided to take them with me and have the sliders installed.
Attaching the Babyface frame slider
We arrived quickly after about an hour of driving. It's been a while since the day the car was delivered, but I'm still a little reluctant to use the lower gears..... So I had to wait in the store for a while.......
The sliders are much simpler than the stock sliders I had on my Ninja 400. The slider is simple enough to fit on the Ninja 400. If you fall hard, the slider part will bend.
I think the effect on the frame will be more distributed than other companies' products that have a single mounting point.........
Running-in after 130km.
The bike shop in Chiba where I bought the Ninja 650 is about 40km from my house. It's about 40km from my house to the bike shop in Chiba. I'm still breaking in the bike, so I'm slowly accelerating in each gear and shifting up at 3,500 rpm.
The stiffness of the gears that I felt on the first day has eased up a lot. On the way back home, with the odometer reading over 100km, there was still a little bit of reluctance in first, neutral, and second gear, but changing between third and sixth gear felt pretty good. I plan to go out for a while when the weather is fine this weekend.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to do an impression yet, but ......Heat from the engine is about 1.5 times higher than the Ninja 400. The feet are hot and the fan is running all the time. Well, I guess the average speed is low and the engine cooling by the wind is insufficient.
Well, if it's sunny again tomorrow, I'll do a sticker tune.
