Replaced with LED headlights
I took advantage of the sunny weather during the rainy season to visit PROTEC.Removed from NInja 400Re-installing the binocular LED headlights.
I went to PROTEC's office and factory, about 15 minutes away from my house.
Outdoors, the Ninja 650 looks compact and just the right size, but indoors, it looks big.
The last time I removed it.Customized product that produces optimal light distribution when the Hi beam side is turned on Lo on the Ninja 400.This time, we used a new method of installation.
As a result, even with one eye lit, the brightness is about 2.5 times brighter than the 15,000 candela standard for vehicle inspection. The product itself is said to be made with emphasis on light distribution characteristics, so the irradiation range is perfect. Of all the bikes I've ridden, the new NINJA 1000 is the only one with brightness comparable to this.
The optical axis was also adjusted to meet the vehicle inspection requirements, and this time we installed an on/off switch behind the front cowl so that we can choose between single-eye and double-eye lighting.
Mr. PROTEC. They are now recruiting product monitors.
Shift position indicatorI was thinking of adding"Phantom 7-speed"The main thing is to respond.I decided to give it a pass this time, and would consider it after the break-in was over and I had driven on the highway.
"We haven't confirmed the compatibility of the digital fuel gauge on the Ninja 400/650, so why don't we install a monitor?" I was asked to do this, but I refrained from doing so as I can get a good feel for it with the standard gauge.
For your information, PROTEC products such as LED headlights, shift position indicators, and digital fuel gauges can be installed free of charge when you participate in the compatibility verification process, not just for the Ninja 400/650.
So, one of my LED headlights was provided to me free of charge.
PROTEC's website is currently closed, but if your bike is not on the list, there is a good chance you can get it installed for free. Today, another CBR600RR came in for conformity survey cooperation.
"Is it okay if I write about it on my blog?" I asked, and the staff said, "We could rent a bike and adapt it ourselves, but we're more than happy to let our customers use it, so please do."
Coordinate the work day and time within PROTEC's capacity.on top of (which)I need to leave my bike with them.If you are interested, please contact us.PROTEC's Web sitePlease contact us after checking.
I was told that the digital fuel gauge can also be worn on carbureted vehicles, so it may come in handy for American drivers.
Helmet holder also installed
I completed the LED conversion quickly and went home. I also put on a helmet holder in the parking lot.
This is a KIJIMA product. The new NInja 650 seems to have this product as standard equipment...... That's true. It would be weird if it didn't come with it from the start........
This time, ETC is 2.0.
This is the first time I've opened the rear seat since the day I got the bike, so I'll take some pictures while it's still clean. The rear seat is exactly the same as the NInja 400. The only difference is that the tool box is now made of cloth instead of plastic.
The ETC device on my Ninja 400 was installed when I traded it in, so I installed a new one. This time it was an ETC 2.0 compatible unit.
For some reason, they put it in a case with the YAMAHA logo on it.
So far, the only advantages are 20% discount on the Ken-O Expressway (including the New Shonan Bypass) and ...., which allows you to get off the expressway and take a break at a roadside station if you return within an hour. The only merit is that the price difference between the ETC 1.0 and the ETC 1.0 was only a few thousand yen, and I was able to install the ETC at a reasonable price because I was in the middle of a 10,000 yen discount campaign for the setup fee.
Well, where should I go tomorrow?
The brighter the light, the safer it is to drive after the sun goes down. My anxiety about touring has been relieved. Now, where shall we go tomorrow? ........
I don't think I'll be able to go anywhere.....orz
