Fix the reluctance of the key and leave.
Woke up at 6 am... But it's raining as forecasted... According to the forecast and rain cloud radar, the rain clouds will pass by after 9:30 a.m., so I stayed in my room. So I stayed in my room and got ready to go out.
After 9:30, the rain seemed to have stopped and I could hear birds singing outside my window. My home is in Kawasaki City, but there is a forest of shrines nearby, and it seems to be full of birds. In early spring, I wake up to the sound of warblers singing.
I went down to the parking lot, but before I went out, I improved the main key keyhole, which had become reluctant lately. Departure was at 10:00.
I highly recommend this product. It is indeed a product of a key manufacturer. If you spray it on the key itself, not the keyhole, and then insert it into the lock, the cylinder that was so reluctant will be restored to a pleasant state.
So this time, for the first time in a long time, I set off without thinking about the route at all. I didn't even sign up for the Tokyo metropolitan area touring plan... But if I wanted to avoid the rain clouds, I'd take the Tohoku Expressway.
I couldn't find the windproof inner lining of the mesh jacket I usually wear, but it might be cold on the mountain soon, so today I'm wearing the slightly embarrassing SIMPSON mesh jacket I bought right after my return.
Going north from Utsunomiya
I'm going to drive on the Tohoku Expressway, but I'm not using the Tokyo Metropolitan Area Touring Plan, so I'm getting off early. If there is a dumpling shop on the side of the road, I thought I would have brunch.
However, we couldn't find a good road and started heading north from Nikko. It was just starting to rain, so we slipped into a suitable soba noodle shop. After we sat down, I checked the rain cloud radar....
Just as we were eating, the rain clouds passed by, a super fine play. As we were eating, the staff at the restaurant said, "Wow, it's starting to rain! But we knew it would stop, so we had time to enjoy our lunch of soba noodles and miso oden.
So, we started heading north again. We took a shoulder break along the way to enjoy the scenery.
This time, I spent most of the ride looking at the ears of rice in the rice paddies. We headed for Aizu-Wakamatsu via Minami-Aizu, and the moderate winding road with few cars was super fun. I'm glad I went out after all.
Stopping at Tadami Station
Today's lodging is in Aizuwakamatsu. It's too close if we head straight there. During a break, I looked at the map on my phone and set the navigation system to take a detour toward Tadami.Okutadami was a fun touring experience full of a sense of seclusion. But what about Tadami? I thought .... But when I arrived at Tadami, the town seemed to be quite normal. I went to the station to take a break.
It seems that the station also serves as a tourist information center, and there is a souvenir shop inside the station building. It's a pleasant station where the receptionist greets you with "Hello~". In the small waiting area, there was one young man who seemed to be waiting for the train. I looked at the timetable and wondered if the train would be coming soon. I thought, and looked at the timetable....
...Hoho.... This is quite something... By the way, the bus timetable in front of the station was even more shocking....
Later.WikipediaI took a look at the"The average number of passengers per day in 2017 was 22. The station has the lowest number of passengers among JR stations in Fukushima Prefecture where the number of passengers can be determined."The explanation was as follows.
There were no stores around the station where I could take a break, so I parked my bike by the railroad tracks and took a break for a canned coffee.
Dinner in Aizuwakamatsu
We arrived at the inn just as the sun was setting.
I didn't do any research, but it was early and I wanted to eat something local. So, I checked the ranking of restaurants within walking distance on the food log... The first place was this restaurant.
I've googled around, but I can't seem to find anything that looks good. It's in the area in front of the station, but all I can find are chain pubs... The only place within walking distance where I can get something that looks like local food is here in the station.
We had soba noodles again at night. We had kozuyu, pickled herring in sansho, cod and tempura.
