I've ridden about ten large vehicles in my life. ”The Ninja 400 is a great bike." However, in retrospect, the BMW R1200RS was the best bike for me, but it was still too extravagant. The one that best suits my needs and skills is the NInja 1000.
I also posted this on Facebook yesterday.
So, a while ago."Isn't the Ninja 1000 due for a model change this fall?"article titledI wrote.
Why do you think so?
I recently rented a Ninja 1000, which is a 2015 model. After returning it, I looked it up and found that there were some pretty significant changes for that year. After returning the bike, I looked it up to see what changes had been made for the other years.

I was able to confirm this by looking at Kawasaki Heavy Industries' press releases, and it seems that it is customary for Kawasaki vehicles to be announced at European exhibitions. So.The following year's models were all announced before July, except for the 2014 model, which had a major minor change.............
Isn't that suspicious? Doesn't it seem like there will be at least a major minor change?
It's just...In a news release on June 16, 2016."Reorganized domestic motorcycle sales network."Announced byIt is possible that this is the reason, but it is not clear.......
Why are so many bikes being discontinued for the 2016 model year in the first place?
In 2017, the European emission regulations will change from the current Euro 3 to Euro 4, and it is well known that models that can't comply with this regulation (and are sold overseas) will basically not be continued to be produced, but as I was wandering around the web, I heard that there is another reason.
Blog by Yokoyama Ringyo, who runs Honda Wing in Adachi-ku, TokyoI found it.
I heard that there is a problem called electromagnetic compatibility. This is also the reason why they announced the end of production of the VFR800F/X less than 3 years after its release.
electromagnetic compatibility(electromagnetic compatibility,EMC)what isElectrical,About ElectronicsThe electromagnetic interference emitted from them.It will not affect any other equipment or systems, and will operate satisfactorily even if it is subjected to electromagnetic interference from other equipment or systems. It is It is also called electromagnetic compatibility, electromagnetic compatibility, electromagnetic environment compatibility, or electromagnetic (environmental) compatibility. From Wikipedia.
ECUs and other electrical devices are also used in motorcycles, but motorcycles produced on or after August 1, 2016, will be subject to the ”Regulations on agreements pertaining to electromagnetic compatibility (No. 10)" With the adoption of the new system, the electrical equipment must be brought into compliance with its modification standards.
Quote from the activity diary of Honda Wing Yokoyama Ringyo
It's unclear if any Kawasaki vehicles stopped production in August, as there is no news, but it's possible that the announcement is delayed because they are preparing the 2017 models for this.
In any case, there will be an announcement about the 2017 model within a month or two. I'll sit on my hands and wait.
[October 3, 2016 memorial]Unfortunately, it was a minor change.
