Heatech electric heating wear and other civilized devices
Heatech electric heating wear that I bought on impulse at NAPS three years ago, I believe.
Thanks to this, I've been able to go out touring quite often in the winter without putting my bike into hibernation... Well, I'm afraid of icy roads, so I'm limited in where I can go.
And. My body and lower body are warm and my palms are warm from the grip heater (Kijima GH-07) that I've been using since my Ninja 400 days three years ago.
But sometimes my feet and the backs of my hands are cold. I've been thinking for a while now that it might be a good idea to make my whole body a Heatech.
The only additional items I need to buy are gloves and toe warmers....
If you buy both, you get about 40,000. Well, it's a bit pricey...
Heatech's good and bad points
That's right. There's nothing wrong with it.
If you ride your bike often and have the budget for it, this is a great product to buy. "I can put up with a little cold, man!" I'm sure there's a "I can put up with a little cold!" thing too, but the benefits of heating pockets are"Even in extreme cold, the body does not become stiff, and the stiffness of the body does not interfere with the control of the bike."I feel that it is.
Yes. There's a big difference between not being cold and being warm.
Well, if you don't ride that often... If you don't ride as often as you'd like, you can just put a pocket warmer here and there to solve the problem.
What about the option of buying a whole new identity?
In the touring last year, there was one time when my toes got so cold on the highway that I bought a toe warmer at a convenience store in the SA and stuck it on, but it didn't work at all. I think my feet were"smooth skin"But I wear safety shoes instead of riding boots, so when the metal cups on my toes are cooled by the driving wind, thick socks are not enough....
Since then, I've been thinking that I need to buy some more toe warmers. And now I need a pair of gloves....
So, at the top."There's nothing wrong with the Heatech I have now."But there is one point where I think I failed. But there is one point where I think I failed.
There are two types of Heatech jackets, 3.5Amp and 7Amp, and the 3.5Amp version I bought in 2015 has a little weak heating in the sleeves.
At the time, I wanted to get the 7Amp if possible (and the price was not that different), but I couldn't get confirmation that the 7Amp would have enough battery and power capacity even after calling Kawasaki Plaza from the store where I bought it to check the extra power capacity. There are not many users who are using it on a mid-size vehicle (I was riding a Ninja 400 at the time), so I couldn't find any feedback on it... So I played it safe and bought the 3.5Amp version.
In addition to the gloves and two warmers I mentioned above, I'll have to rewrite the jacket... So, this is a course of over 70,000 yen. If you think of it as a cost for comfortable touring, it's not a price you can't afford, but it's a price I hesitate to pay.
I thought, "Isn't there a Chinese copy of this product? So I did an Amazon search and found the one from Cominet.
Let's see, this is a little over 50,000 even if you buy everything new.... It's definitely cheaper than Heatech.
I'll go to the store and check the heating range, and if it's not good, I might replace the whole body... Then I'll have an extra Heatech....
