I stayed at a nearby inn to catch the first Ise Bay ferry in the morning. The ferry left at 7:50 a.m.
The website said that we had to be there at least 20 minutes before the start of the tour, so I thought that if I got there 30 minutes before and there were a lot of touring riders lined up, I could just take the next flight....
Maybe it's because of GW.... . 30 minutes ago, the bikes had already finished boarding, and we were directed to the second flight line.
However, the next flight was at 8:40, 50 minutes later. The ferry terminal is attached to the roadside station, so I went to the restroom, looked at the souvenir shop, and looked at the map....
It was time to board the ferry. There were only 6 or 7 motorcycles on the second flight, which means that there are no motorcycles on this ferry unless you go on a mass tour.
So, after a short boat trip, we landed in Mie Prefecture for the first time by motorcycle.
Missing the oysters, sharks and sunfish
When we got out of the ferry terminal, there was a T-junction with a blue sign saying Ise was on the right. Initially, I was going to drive along the Iseshima Skyline, which is famous for its beautiful scenery, but unfortunately, it was cloudy and the view was probably not good... So we decided to drive along the sea... It says Ise is on the right, but if we're going to go around the peninsula, it's obvious to turn left... I'll ignore the blue sign and turn left and drive for a while....
Rattling comfortable road Maybe all the other cars and bikes had gone to the Ise Shrine area.
Since it was early in the day, we had a nice view of the ocean on our left as we continued on our way. There were many restaurants along the road where you could eat oysters, and as I am a No Oyster, No Life person, this whetted my appetite, but unfortunately none of them were open yet. I had no choice but to move on.
However, I was starting to get hungry, so I went to Roadside Station Kii Nagashima Mambo for my first snack break.
I took a peek at the stalls to see what was available.
Oh, fascinating.
So I bought a skewer each of shark and sunfish and took a short break.
After that, we continued to run along the sea. As it was almost Children's Day, there were carp streamers everywhere.
If you come to Taiji, you must be a whale.
It seems that we are running along the Kumano Kodo, and there are many signs, but we completely ignore them and drive on... The blue signboards started to appear around there."Taiji Town"The letters are appearing. Taiji is the home of whale fishing. Yes, let's have whale for lunch. sashimi, pork cutlet, tatsuta-age, yamato-nii, boiled pond smelt, fish ball and soup
The Mubutsu River is the shortest in Japan
After eating, we went to this place, which was the only place registered as a transit point in today's course.
It is the shortest river in Japan, with a total length of only 13.5 meters."river in which Buddha statues are burned at the altar of Buddha"
The spring water reaches the mainstream so quickly that you can see the entire river from the source to the confluence in one second!
The weather was cloudy, but the touring was pleasant. Now, we're heading for Wakayama City, where today's lodging is located, around the Kii Peninsula along the sea. On the wayOTKI also went to see Hashikiri Iwa, which you told me about in a comment on...
rain
I was running and here it comes... A few drops of water....
I checked my phone, and it seemed that rain clouds would be moving in ahead, so I put on my rainwear beforehand....
We entered a rain cloud. When I stopped at a traffic light, I was bothered by the heavy rain that made my phone operate by itself and the screen of the navigation system, which I had set as the destination for the hotel, go into a strange state....
I arrived at the hotel in soaking wet mode.
I checked out the local food and had dinner... I didn't feel like going out for dinner, so I had gyoza at the Wang Shou near the hotel and finished the second day.
I'll be crossing over to Shikoku tomorrow!
