I feel like I haven't seen a blue sky in a long time.....
On the fifth day of GW touring, the weather finally recovered.
After traveling from the inn in Tokushima to Ehime on the highway, we started touring on the scenic roads, which would be the main event of the trip.
So this is the UFO line (bottle-gum forest road)!
Our first destination was the UFO line (bottle-gum forest road). After happily climbing up the narrow road, we came to this spectacular view!
Oh, no! That feels good~!To a record high"The Way of the Sky"There is a sense.
The mountains of Shikoku are not as steep as those of Izu, Gunma, or Nagano, but the scenery is much more enjoyable. The sense of bare nature. I spent quite a long time looking at the scenery from here.
The traffic is very light as you have to climb up a narrow road that is quite difficult for four-wheeled vehicles to separate from each other. It is a wonderful road that is well worth coming to just to see the scenery and ride through the deep mountains.
Gasoline..... There's no gas!
Now that we've enjoyed the UFO line, we're off to Shikoku Karst.
The distance was roughly less than 100km.
As soon as we started down the UFO line, the gas warning light started flashing. However, it didn't bother me that much because I calculated that I could ride about 100km from here until I ran out of gas. "I'll just fill up at the gas station on the way," I thought, and continued my comfortable touring....Well, no matter whether I ran 30km or 50km, there wasn't a single gas station open along the course, and I finally reached the Shikoku Karst after running almost 80km (sweat).
There was a place where some people who looked like locals were parking and working, so we parked our bikes and went to work. "Where's the closest gas station from here?" I asked... "There are no gas stations around here. Especially not in the Shikoku Karst area." That's a great answer.
My Ninja 650 has a 16-liter tank capacity listed in the catalog. By mental arithmetic, there's hardly any left!...In a panic, I searched for gas stations in the area with my phone. The closest one was 10km away in a straight line.
I hurriedly called the nearest gas station to make sure it was open, and then headed back the way I came... I drove about 15km....
Refueled with 14 liters. Hoho~. That means I could still go more than 40km~!
So this is Shikoku Karst!
Now, I started again, feeling the coldness of the tank filled with cold gasoline on my inner thighs. We drove along at a good pace, trying to make up for the time we had lost, until we came to a traffic light that said, "Turn right here, and you'll be on the way up to Shikoku Karst....A traffic jam in the middle of the mountains. The guy in front of me with the 400 katana told me that there were a lot of Sunday drivers stuck in the mountains who couldn't merge properly, and the cops were out, but they couldn't proceed at all..." I was told. I parked my bike on the side of the road and had a chat with a guy who had parked his Versys-X and CB1300SF in the same spot, saying "What should I do? Coincidentally, both of them were from Chiba and Tokyo, so they were unexpectedly touring from Kanto area. As I was looking at the map on my phone... I was looking at the map on my phone when I found a paved forest road. "Doesn't it look like I can get there from here? And the challenge was decided. It wasn't that bad of a road, and it was pretty smooth....
Yes. A spectacular viewOn the side of the road... Cows.
I was very satisfied with the view of the karst landscape of exposed limestone rocks, and the route from the UFO line to here, and I enjoyed a very satisfying ride in the sunny weather after a long time.
Maybe one of them is the killer. Maybe.
Well, today we are staying in Kochi City. Tomorrow I'm planning to wake up at 4 a.m. to watch the sunrise at Katsurahama beach, so I'll stop at a roadside station on the way....
Have a quick bite to eat....
I bought some snacks to eat when I get hungry at the hotel....
Checked into the hotel as fast as I could while it was still light!
Of course, at this point, you don't realize what's going to happen tomorrow morning... The killer is in this chapter... Are you there?
