I woke up to the sound of a buzzard. My phone's SD card is weak, so I'm having trouble saving videos.
I was up until past 2 a.m., so the fire was still warm. I stuck a few twigs in the fire and fanned it with a fan, and it ignited again easily.
It's a secret that I actually set my alarm for 5:20 a.m. to watch the sunrise.
The electric blanket I had brought with me just in case worked well, and I woke up feeling good and not cold at all. After using the restroom, I went back to the fireplace to add more wood and watch the flames for a while....
More beautiful than when I came.
By the way, at 7:00 a.m., the other customer's bike was already gone. I was also planning to leave at 8:00 a.m., but as I was adding firewood, I stoked up a big one....
I've washed the griddle we used for dinner, folded the sleeping bags and electric blankets and put them in the side bags, swept the inside of the tipi, and I think I've finished cleaning up... I think I've finished cleaning up, but it's going to take me a while to burn out.
I had no choice but to sit back and relax again, playing with the fire as much as I could without leaving any burning debris.
The blue sky seen from the ceiling of the tipi made for a nice day for biking today.
I took a short walk around the grounds, and found that there were a total of six tepees, each separated from the other on a fairly large area (only two were set up next to each other. (Only two were set up next to each other. Maybe for groups?) But three of them seemed to be under construction. No, maybe it's just as easy to build a tipi by covering the top and putting flooring.
There are many tangerine trees on the property, and they are allowed to eat them in season.
I got to know the owner, who I thought was a bit of a jerk when I first arrived. He was a nice guy with strong habits, so we talked for a while. We left around 9:00 a.m.
Oh, I have to go home... Nishi-Izu & Izu Skyline
Well, off we go... Today is voting day for the Kanagawa Prefecture gubernatorial election. I grew up in a community where it was common sense to always exercise your right to vote, so even though I'm touring overnight, I'm not going to abandon it.
We had just been invited to a cherry blossom viewing party, so we headed home easily. We crossed the loop bridge of Kawazu Nanataki... Driving along the Nishi-Izu Skyline...
From Kameishi Pass, we took the Izu Sky Run to Atami Pass. Then, we went down the Hakone New Road and took the usual route from Odatsu - Tomei.
Election and Cherry Blossom Viewing
After voting, we went to see the cherry blossoms and the weekend was over.
