Losing my Mega Sport virginity: ...... So, I've been driving about 500km/h. This is a test ride course suitable for Hayabusa, of which the high speed is over 300km.
I returned it to the store at 7:30 p.m. and went home.........
My waist is completely gone. I can't even bend down to untie my shoelaces.
Impressions immediately after borrowing.I wrote about it in yesterday's article, but in the end, it was an unusual pattern that didn't change my impression much until the end.
By the way, here are my impressions from yesterday.
- Neutrals are easy to get out.
- The neutral light at the top of the meter is hard to see when you are riding because it is covered by the top edge of the screen.
- Checking the rear when changing lanes is a bit difficult when the car is tilted so far forward. It might be better to find a gap in front and accelerate to that point./li>
- I think the seat is a bit slippery material. Even if you try to sit in the back, when you decelerate, your hips move forward......
- The engine gets very hot. I don't think I can ride in the middle of summer. It will be cold tomorrow, and I wonder if it will be nice and warm.
- When I put the sidestand on, the bike tilts a lot (compared to the Ninja 400). The parking lot we rented has a slight slope on both sides, and with the Ninja 400, I parked with the side stand on the down side, but with the Hayabusa, I felt the bike leaned too much on that side, so I parked the opposite way.
Here are some notes on my impressions. Please note that this is the ramblings of an amateur.
I got in.
Hmmm. The Mega Sport bike was not for me, and I suppose the same is true for the SS, but the main reason is that I can't enjoy the scenery while riding it because of its high performance and forward leaning posture. This time, we passed through Tateshina Kogen where the leaves were in full bloom and the weather was clear.&We went around the Venus Line, which was blessed with a nice sea of clouds. ”Oh, I should have come with my Ninja 400 in this weather....." I thought to myself over and over again.
Lovely place.
- Easy to ride anyway!
”Easier to ride than I thought" I had heard rumors that this was the case, and they were absolutely right. If you rev the engine, it will accelerate like a bat out of hell, but there was no way I was going to try that on a normal road. I wonder if the rigidity of the vehicle that allows it to run 300km is the key to its success. The on-the-rails feeling on the highway was the best of all the bikes I have rented so far.
- Engines
The engine also contributes greatly to the ease of riding. This is probably my favorite four-cylinder engine I've ever ridden, with 197 horsepower and a mild power output that's easy to use from idle speed, so you can open the throttle with confidence....... I'm not sure what to make of it. I'm sure you'll agree. I'm not sure what to make of it. The heat is considerable.........
- Thick torque
I've never felt a lack of torque in an over-liter car, but the Hayabusa's sole felt like the rear tire was gripping the ground more than ever before. Oh, I forgot to check the brand name of the tires, which were BRIDGESTONE octane tires.
- A full range of flagship features
The domestic version comes standard with ETC, Brembo caliper front brakes, and of course ABS brakes at the rear.Even the key has the Hayabusa logo. And a switch on the right-hand side of the steering wheel to switch between power modes for easy operation.
Hmm? What is it?
- Best of all: ...... Riding Form
Most of the Hayabusa (and ZX-14R) in the used car stores are equipped with spacers to raise the handlebars, or have been converted to bar hands. The position is still too tight to use as a tourer.........
In addition, when I returned the bike to the store and switched to the Ninja 400, I was surprised to find that it felt like a bike that I could ride in an upright position.Ducati Multistrada 1200SThis is the same level that I felt right after I rented a Hayabusa. So I wonder what it would be like if I switched from a falcon to an adventure bike right away.
- Overheating in traffic on the Chuo Highway&Engine stop
I'm sure it's an individual thing, but my back was hurting, so I didn't slip through traffic and slowed down when the engine suddenly stopped. Fortunately, I was in the left lane, so I parked on the shoulder with the hazards on, and after a few minutes, the engine stopped...... Oh, it's equipped with a water temperature gauge: ..... I don't usually have the habit of checking the water temperature, so I didn't notice........ Should I have taken a break when the water temperature went up, or should I have slipped through? .... But even in traffic, overheating in late October temperatures is not ..... This is a problem only with this unit, isn't it?
- Screens that are designed for ultra-high speed
The screen, which is completely below your eye line, provides no wind protection above your chest unless you get down considerably...... In combination with the forward leaning and neck lifting position, I experienced for the first time the sensation of the helmet being pressed against my forehead by the wind.
- Wrestler's belt used in a bout
I parked in a hurry to rest my back, so I let my guard down and parked in a slightly forward and backward spot twice. I was able to maneuver the bike because of its low center of gravity, but the low steering position made it unstable....... It's not a good idea to do this on a daily basis: .....
- Heavy clutch and gas pedal
It is often said that clutches are heavy on large motorcycles, but I have never felt it on any of the bikes I have rented. However, on this Hayabusa, my grip strength started to deteriorate in the early evening, and by the end, it became troublesome to hold the clutch............
I think I know why I want a Ninja 1000: ......
Fixing the negatives I felt about Hayabusa makes it a Ninja 1000: ........
