It's almost time to go to the mountains, but I'm planning to go to Kusatsu next weekend, so this week I'm going to Chichibu.
By the way, the highest temperature in Tokyo today is 28℃. The forecast for tomorrow is 30 degrees Celsius in Gunma...... The Shiga-Kusatsu Kogen route, which is scheduled to open this weekend, won't have a wall of snow anymore...... Maybe .....
Now, let's get back on track.
First, we ride out on the Kanetsu for the first time this year.
It's hot. During the first break at Arashiyama PA, I remove the inner liner of my leather jacket and the breath guard and chin curtain of my helmet.
It was a beautiful day for a day off, so there were a few cars on the road after getting off the Hanazono Interchange, but the flow was not bad. We arrived at today's destination in no time at all.
A tofu restaurant in a renovated 100-year-old house. I've been wanting to visit this place since last year, but I haven't had a chance to do so, so this was my first visit. When I arrived, there was no parking space available, so I parked my bike in front of the restaurant, which was the best place to take pictures.
There is only one menu. Only the set meal menu. There were a few people lined up, so I waited while smoking my IQOS, but I entered the restaurant relatively smoothly while the large group of people were put off by the strength of one person.
We had a spring lunch plus a dairy-free tofu pudding dessert........Delicious!
I finished my meal in no time and went outside, but customers kept coming. But ........
It was about 12:50 at this point, so it seemed safe to make a reservation when we went. It's a bit dicey.
After eating, I started to ride, but since I was on a rented bike and didn't have a phone mount, I didn't know where to go. I was riding on Route 140, and I saw a blue sign that said"Kofu (city)"I saw a sign that said, "We're heading for Yamanashi. As we drove along, I noticed the scenery.I ran this road last year.。
The MT-07 is fun to ride and the weather is nice, so I wanted to take some pictures: .... There were already some other cars and bikes on the shoulder of the road, so I didn't take many photos this time.
In no time at all, we passed through the Gansaka Tunnel (toll road) on Route 140, the longest mountain tunnel in Japan at 6,625 meters, and entered Yamanashi Prefecture.
We took a break at a roadside station along the way, and the weather was as fine as ever.
The rest of the day was spent touring down the road from the Ishwa Onsen area to Route 20. From the middle of the road, I took the highway to return the rental bike via Chuo, Kenou, and Tomei.
It was a total of about 350km of touring, but I enjoyed it. It's finally the start of the season!
