Maigare ClubI am currently a Light member, which means I can rent a bike up to 10 times a year at a discount.
So, this April is the renewal month, but I have 2 times left to use it...... No, I didn't rent a bike in the winter because I didn't have a heating system.......
So, I have reserved two units for this month. This time it's this one.
YAMAHA MT-07
I wrote about it on my XSR 900.However, I didn't like the position of the key cylinder on the YAMAHA MT series naked cars, so I kind of put off renting one. I've been putting off renting one.
However, after the XSR 900, the MT-07 was also a very nice motorcycle.
Here are some notes on my impressions. As usual, this is the ramblings of an amateur.
I got in.
YAMAHA itself has a website."Handling Yamaha".YAMAHA bikes are so well known for their maneuverability that they even have a website called "Yamaha Handling" and the term "Yamaha Handling" is commonly used.
(By the way, the above"Handling Yamaha".The main visual of the content features an image of the MT-07.)
It's like, even if you don't try to bend the bike, you can feel that it responds faithfully to your intentions and actions to turn.......
After all, it is fun to ride. I don't feel like I'm being carried around on a motorcycle.
Lovely place.
- Straightforward handling
As mentioned above. All you have to do is look in the direction you want to go and give it a little input, and it will turn the corner exactly as you want it to. What can I say?"Manipulation for turning"and"Manipulate to run the line you want."I feel like I can get the least amount.
- Faithful engine
It seems that YAMAHA has a design concept called "Crossplane Concept", which in layman's terms means that the power of the engine can be extracted faithfully to the rider's will.
I've been able to enjoy the horsepower and torque of the 688cc/68N-m (6.9kgf-m)/73hp engine since the first day of rental, which I'm sure I could use on public roads. I'm not sure if it's a good idea, but it's a good idea.
- I hadn't noticed, but I like your design.
YAMAHA is often referred to as "the Yamaha of design.GK DynamicsBefore renting the MT-07, I hadn't really been attracted to its appearance, but after spending a day with it, my impression changed to, "The overall form and detailed parts are very nice. But after spending a day with them, I came to the conclusion that "the overall form and the detailed parts have a nice shape.
After all, it has very high basic performance as a motorcycle for daily use.
I think this is one of the best cars to use as an express car for city driving.
Hmm? What is it?
On the other hand, if you view it as a hobby touring vehicle, .......
- The design is good, but .... The texture: ......
Although it can't be helped because of the cost constraints, the shabby handlebar area and detailed texture that I wrote about in the XSR 900 is a disappointment because of the excellent design......
- The steps get in the way when you step on them: ......
Maybe if my legs were 10cm longer, it would not be a problem....... As I wrote in my impressions right after I borrowed it, the negative point is that the step hits my calf when I put my leg straight down. In fact, a friend of mine bought a new MT-07 this month, and she says that's the number one thing that bothers her....... I'm not sure if I should put in a back step or not.
- Bikini thong
The beginning of the ride was an hour and a half and I needed an ass-healing break........
- Digital meters and steering wheel mirrors
This is something that can't be said about either of them, but I'm sure that the full digital meter and"A larger eye movement is required."The handlebar mirror is a minus point for me, as I'm used to the analog tach + digital meter and cowl mounted mirror on my Ninja 400.......
- Location of the key cylinder
I'm really curious about this one.
Especially the MT-07, which is designed to have a key inserted right above the headlight unit........ I've got something stuck in my brain. I'm sure you'll agree.
By the way, a friend of mine wears a screen on his MT-07, so that's an improvement.
Same conclusion as with the XSR 900.
It is a common rumor that the MT-07 Tracer will be available in Japan by the end of 2017.......
I'd rather they release a sports tourer as the MT-07 Fazer.
