We departed at Dora-wari.
Wake up at 5:00 a.m....... Departure time is 6:45 a.m.
2,500 yen for 2 days of unlimited highway riding before you get on your motorcycle.Dora-wari Touring Plan for Metropolitan Arearegistered.
If we could have chosen different courses for the first and second days, it would have been perfect for our intended course..... So, I decided to take the Kan-etsu, Joshinetsu and Tohoku route.
Even though it's before 7 o'clock, it's already extremely hot...... We hurriedly got on our bikes and headed for the Nerima IC......
But I was not expecting the first day of the three-day weekend...... The traffic was already congested at Kanpachi, and the Kan-etsu was also quite congested....... It was already past 8:30 at Takasaka SA, where we took our first break: ......
Summer is the best time to cook motsu.
However, it started to flow from around here. We made quick progress to the Akagi IC and went to have breakfast. Our destination was here.
It's a very famous restaurant for stewed pork ribs. During the good weather and ski season, there is a huge line that you can't even get into the parking lot, but who wants to eat stewed pork in this hot weather? So I arrived at the restaurant thinking: ...... It's already very crowded!
The turnover is fast so you don't have to wait too long, but there were already more than 10 people in line.
Motsu nimono set meal with standard rice. I knew it would be good. I should have made a big bowl of motsu...... I finished the whole thing, even the soup. When the weather gets cooler, I'll stop by on my way home and buy one for home from the vending machine, I promise myself.
Now that breakfast is done, I'm off to Kusatsu, where I usually don't stop for dessert at the Kusatsu Exercise Tea House Park.
Temperature 17 degrees ..... Also here.
This is my usual route when I come to Kusatsu. Gaining altitude without even looking at the hot spring town: .....
As usual, we took the empty road to a higher altitude: .... We also passed through the hot water cauldron of Kusatsu-Shiranesan (Kusatsu-Shiranesan), which was open to visitors after the warning was lifted......Here we go again.
17 degrees Celsius. Cool.
Sweat in the hot springs.
After the sweat had gone down, we went to ..... It was getting a little chilly, so we continued on Route 292 toward Nagano. I always think that the Shiga-Kusatsu-Kogen route is very easy to drive because there is no traffic jam. On the way, we stopped at a hot spring outlet point on the side of the road.
Yeah, yeah. It makes me want to take a bath in a hot spring. So I continued riding my bike and took my lunch bath here today.
This natural hot spring is located at Yudanaka Station, the last stop on the Nagano Electric Railway. There is also a footbath in front of the building, so it is a good place to take a break.
Recommended for people with a high iron-geek component. I'm not really interested in trains......w
Sunset on the Sea of Japan
After refreshing ourselves, we continued our touring. Today, we drove from here to the Joetsu area. In no time at all, we were on the Sea of Japan.
We continued along the coast of Niigata toward Toyama. The sun was setting nicely on the way. When I encounter scenes like this, I think, "Traveling is good .....". I think.
Prepare for tomorrow with dinner.
We checked in just after sunset as planned.
The price was about 6,000 yen per night with breakfast, but the hospitality of the staff and the comfort of the room were at a very high level for the price, as the hotel was rated "3 pavilions", which means "very comfortable", in the 2016 Toyama-Ishikawa edition of the Schulan Guide Book. The bikes are "rainproof and tamper-proof. I was able to park my motorcycle in the best position, right next to the hotel entrance to avoid rain and mischief.
For dinner, we went to a sushi restaurant in town that was a 5-minute walk from the hotel and had a good rating on the food log. The price was about 3,000 yen for such a meal, and the food tasted okay, but it was very cheap.......
I don't know if I'll visit again, so I won't introduce the restaurant.
After shopping for dinner at a convenience store where the locals are very pushy, we lingered at the hotel and then went to bed.
Today's mileage was a little less than 400km.
