Vacations are always rain.
Breakfast at the hotel started at 6:30 a.m., so I woke up a little after 6:00 a.m. and moved to the restaurant. As I ate, I looked outside. It's raining a little bit, not enough to get the ground wet, but it's pouring.Situation.
After dinner, I was looking at the rain cloud radar on the Yahoo! Weather app in my room, and it looks like we're going to get some rain.
This is a touring trip. Check out and want to run early. Even if it gets a little wet, it will dry out if you run, right? Thinking that, I googled a little and found a Workman about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. I walked there and bought some rainwear just in case.
So I borrowed an umbrella from the hotel front desk and went for a walk.In addition, here is the scene during the walk.
It was the first time in years that it had rained heavily for me, as I live my life like Kamehameha the Great, rescheduling my work appointments as much as possible when it rains. I'm walking around with an umbrella, but the bottom half of my body is soaking wet.
working man
So I finally arrived at Workman.
昨年のAegis (system)Since the boom, Workman has been focusing on developing products for riders. The rainwear section looks like this.
"Rider-specific design"There were products that claimed to be breathable, but they were made of non-breathable material, so I bought rainwear made of breathable material.
When we left the store, the rain had stopped and we were able to return to the hotel without needing an umbrella........
Walk On The Wild Side
However, rain was still forecasted, so I wore only rain pants in the hotel room and left. I continued to wear them until I got home, but they were comfortable and didn't get stuffy.
Because I hate to drive the same road twice in touring, first to the direction of Gifu as it is. On the way to the Super-Kamiokande stop by, but there was nothing to see other than the building in a pure research facility ........
As I was riding towards Takayama, it started to rain a little, so I changed my jacket to rainwear. Like the pants, it was super comfortable and not at all stuffy. We arrived at Takayama in no time.
I took the Joshinetsu Expressway from the Usui Karuizawa Interchange because I was going home on the Dora-wari Expressway 2,500 yen course. I took the Joshinetsu Expressway from the Usui Karuizawa Interchange, but if I went straight, it would be too close, so I set up a detour course by adding a stopover to my smartphone navigation system. I took an early lunch at the first stop on the route.
After finishing our meal, we headed for Toya Pass, which we had set as our next stop. The road up is a narrow mountain road with about 1.5 lanes, but it is well paved and fun to drive. As is the case with driving, I actually love driving on narrow roads.
However, there was a trap set on the way down: .......
It's better where I could stop to take a picture: ......It's a complete forest road.
Especially on the north slope, the grass and moss on the path were wet from the morning rain, making it super slippery. At the narrowest part, the road is only barely wide enough for one small car, and the road is full of potholes...... If you make a mistake, you might fall into the valley. We didn't even have time to stop and take pictures in those areas.
時々、This place collapsed once and they had to pave it over to repair it, right?Every time I found such a place, I would pause for a moment.
After more than 10km of uninterrupted, uninterrupted road, we finally reached the village.
Break-in completed Part I
At this point, the odometer reached 1,600 km, and the 6,000 rpm limit ended.
Now you don't have to drive while paying attention to the tachometer. On the way home, try a slightly higher rpm.
Today's hot spring is here.
Then we headed straight for Nagano, passing through the Chubu Mountain National Park. It was another cool day of touring. Here is the venue for today's hot spring in the middle of the day.
Basklin case disguised as a hot springShirakone Onsen, which lost a bit of its reputation at one time due.
But personally, it is one of my favorite hot springs, along with Kusatsu Onsen. As expected, it was crowded because of the three-day weekend, but I took my time and enjoyed the open-air bath.
It was 5:00 p.m. when I was cooling off on the porch after taking a bath. The plan was to get to Karuizawa before dark, take a quick peek at an outlet, and then get on the highway.
Break-in completed Part II
I set my phone's navigation system to take a public road, but it turned out to be a toll road. It started to rain while I was driving, so I stopped at a space I found on the shoulder of the road to put on my rainwear (since I was wearing rain pants) and take out some coins from my wallet in my ass pocket........
And here comes the event!
Exterior break-in is complete.....orz
With the previous Ninja 400, there was not even a hint of standstill in 27,000km. The Ninja 650, with the same weight and shape, was not going to be a standing failure.
[situation description]
Well, it suddenly started to rain, and I found a space where I could park like this.
However, the difference in level between the lane and this space was quite severe: ......
It's hard to tell from the picture, but from the side of the lane, it's about 5 to 7 cm high. I was careless and rode up on it without taking a good angle......... The rear wheel slipped and I was out!
I was too tired from the second day of touring to get the bike up right away. So after taking a picture of the fallen bike, I put my glove on the brake lever and woke it up after the front brake was working........
[Victim Report]
I was able to resist a little when I fell down, but it was more than that.Good thing I had my sliders on!The damage is not as bad as I thought.
- The slider is a little sharpened.
- The grip end is a little shaved.
- The shift pedal was a little bent.
When I shifted up, it was bent so much that it interfered with the body of the car, but I put it back together on the spot with all my energy.
- My left mirror is broken: ......
This is the biggest damage: ......
The day after I got home, I washed the car and checked it again, but this was really the only damage. The crankcase doesn't seem to have touched the ground either. I think I hit the bottom of the cowl on the asphalt, but I don't need to worry about where I can't see.
The BabyFace slider is excellent. Highly recommended!
Return trip .......
I smoked a cigarette while looking at the bike that woke me up........ I stopped again at the end of the toll road, but I couldn't hide my upset.
I went to Amazon and ordered a mirror on the spot.
After that, I drove cautiously because there was no left mirror. Or rather, if I move to the right lane, I have to look back to see what's behind me when I move to the left lane, so I drive mainly in the left lane even on the highway.
I ate a curry cutlet at an SA on the way to the airport and said, "If I had to choose between winning and losing today, I'd say I won......." And so on.
The pace was slow and we took a lot of breaks, so by the time we arrived home, the date had changed. The total mileage for this overnight tour was 895km.
