Invitation to Touring
I've toured with him twice before. ”Ninja! I'm back!" The blogger Weishui Shi invited me.
Our destination was a valley with an amazingly clear river in the Kiso area.
If you plan a touring route in the Tokyo metropolitan area, you can drive the Venus Line. There are also some spectacular roads around the area that I would like to drive once, such as the Mitake Blue Line, the Kurakoshi Panorama Line, the Mitake Skyline, and the Reimu Line.
The evening of the day you spoke to me."Probably the smokiest hormone shop in Japan." Sangen(Link to food log)Meat festival.
The entrance door is left open, so when the wind blows in, the smoke clears away and you can take beautiful pictures like this: ........ Depending on the wind direction, the inside of the restaurant may look like this
Weather is not good: ...... Cancelled: ........
So I adjusted my plans for the next day and started searching for routes and places to eat..... As the day went by, the forecasted precipitation probability increased more and more: ........ Unfortunately, it was cancelled: .........
I almost started this the day before because the weather wasn't looking good, but ...... I couldn't resist the temptation and went to bed.
I'm going out for a bit.
I was able to resist the temptation to play Dracula, but in the end, I woke up at a little past 9:00 the next day. After slowly getting ready, we headed west on 246. Our first stop was here, at the 2Rinkan Zama store.
I bought this at the checkout, thinking that I hadn't bought the last of the gold dress-up parts yet.
I immediately replaced the valve cap and started again.
And Hakone
It was indeed hot down there, so we decided to go up a bit in altitude..... So, Hakone is the only place in this area. We took the Odata Atsu train from Atsugi: .....
We ran up Hakone Shindou to Taikan-zan. The best part is that we didn't use the turnpike.
We took a short break at The temperature was 22 degrees Celsius. Hydrangeas are in bloom in the parking lot, and the warbler's "hohokekyo" chirp is coming from the mountains......... It's going to be August next week!
I was getting hungry, but there was nothing on the menu at the MAZDA Sky Lounge that appealed to me, so I drove some more to the Tokuni Pass. So I drove a little further to the Tokuni Pass, and had a late lunch of udon noodles and a tall bowl of shirasu kakiage.
When we finished eating, the time was 2:30 p.m. .... It's a little early, but we're turning back around here today. Going down the Hakone Shindou to the Tomei highway from Odashi.
We were blessed with good weather today.
On the way, we took a break at Kohoku PA. I was thinking it was hot, but to my surprise, the ventilation of my helmet was completely closed. There's no way I could have done it myself, so there's a good chance someone was messing with me.......
So I'm smoking a cigarette and suddenly the smell of rain starts to mix with the air. When I looked at the sky, it was pitch black in the direction of Tokyo....... Oh no. It's going to rain!
But I'm not in a hurry because I'll be home within 30 minutes from here. I checked the ventilation of my helmet and headed home........ It started to rain just before I got off the Kawasaki interchange: ....
Guerrilla rain!
The rain was pounding down on us. On the way back, the underpass was flooded and the bus was stuck in a huge traffic jam........ I also drove for a moment in the deepest part of the water, which was almost up to my steps.
Maybe, but it felt like the muffler was submerged for a moment.
I didn't have time to stop and take pictures myself, but when I got home, I saw that social media was abuzz with posts about the flooding.
See what the homecoming route looked like back then on Twitter!
Exactly"We were blessed with stormy weather."I was on my way home.......
Finally got home in the middle of a heavy rain and flood warning.
Even the bills in my wallet are soaking wet.......
I had rainwear in my seat bag, but I didn't even have time to change........
I'll have to do some bike maintenance tomorrow.........
