I don't know why I chose this one.
So farRunning VideoHe was active in shooting.RICOH WG-M1。
Thanks to this, I still work while watching the videos of my previous touring trips, but I had a few complaints. It was my first action cam, and I was convinced to buy it, but I was still concerned about the fact that I couldn't use an external microphone and the lack of flexibility in mounting due to the size of the case.....
At that time, I borrowed a GoPro Hero5 from a friend, and I was very pleased with its features and the size of the housing. Especially the angle of the chest mount was pretty close to my ideal.....
I tried to find a harness that would allow me to chest mount the WG-M1, but I couldn't find the courage to wear something of this size and color on my chest......
But GoPro is a bit expensive to buy just for fun: ..... But the Chinese GoPro clones can't use external microphones without modification: ..... I was having a hard time deciding whether to buy a GoPro or not, when I saw a blog about its successorSJ6 Legend supports external microphoneBecause I saw the introduction......
That's why I bought this on impulse, as I wrote yesterday......
SJCAM is rumored to have a lot of fake products, but I confirmed this by entering the serial number into the official website."This item indicates"I was relieved to see that.
I took a picture of it with a 500 yen coin in yesterday's article, but it's really a compact GoPro clone.
I touched it up last night, setting it up, inserting the SD card, charging it, etc. The texture doesn't seem that different from the GoPro 5, which is more than twice the price.
test shot
So, today. It's the last day of work in the world, so I finished work in the morning...... I finished work in the morning, but I had a visitor in the evening: ....... I was going to clean my chain for New Year's Eve touring, but I was out of chain cleaner, so I went shopping and took some pictures while I was at it.
By the way, I had the chain done at 2Rinkan because it was too much trouble.
So, while I was out, I attached a camera to my chest harness and took some driving videos: ...... butAngles like this: ..... Big mistake......orz
When I was using a GoPro, I was able to find the angle in one shot, so I took the picture without checking it..... I could send the camera image to an app on my phone and check the angle......
Preparation for Touring, Part 1: Jaw Mount
So, I bought this on my way home. (Bolt and washer on the right side of the picture)
The standard screws (the two on the left side of the photo) for attaching the mount parts are made of plastic so that they can be disassembled by hand at any time, but I felt that they would be too conspicuous on the helmet chin mount.
So, I quickly combined the mounting parts.....
Get in position......
After positioning, degrease and clean with parts cleaner and ..... Warm up the double-sided tape with a hair dryer and then flatten it.
It's done!
All parts can be easily removed except for the base part which is attached to the helmet with double-sided tape.
Preparation for touring Part 2: Waterproof housing + external microphone
Next, the external microphone. I'd like to keep it in the waterproof housing in case of sudden rain."waterproofing"So naturally, the USB port where the microphone is plugged in cannot be accessed from outside the case.......
The non-waterproof housing (on the right) is perfectly fine, but it's a little too delicate and kind of scary.
So, I used the drill that came with the IKEA electric screwdriver........
I'm going to drill a hole so that I can plug in the cable. Goodbye to complete waterproofing.
Now I can insert an external microphone. I was able to drill a hole at the right size, so if it's just a light rain, this should be fine.
Now we're ready for New Year's touring!
