Touring after a long time
I've been a bit busy and haven't been able to go touring in December....... I'm sorry to sayFront and Rear OhlinsI did, but I'm not driving on the Kunekune Road....orz
As expected, the day before New Year's Eve, I was allowed not to work & had no personal business, so I abandoned the year-end cleaning and went out.
It's been about 2 weeks since I installed the OHLINS .... It's been 2 weeks since I installed OHLINS. I've gotten used to it and now I feel it's normal...... However, I haven't adjusted the rebound damping force yet, so I'm going to adjust it while driving today.
We left a little late, at 10:00 a.m., so to save time, we took the Metropolitan Expressway Wangan Route from the Daisan Keihin and went to the Boso Peninsula from the Aqua-Line.
At the entrance to the Daisan KeihinJaw-mounted action cam.Press the "Take a picture" button on the camera and go.
SJ6 Legend....
When I got home, I connected it to my computer and tried to get the video out...... I didn't get it.
We drove along the Yokohama North Line, which connects the Daisan Keihin and Wangan lines, and the Aqua-Line under a pleasant blue sky. "I thought I should be able to capture the same image as my line of sight," I thought, and scurried around the seascape from the Aqua-Line bridge. w
I'm not sure why. I seem to remember that I checked the shooting status in the mirror after pressing the shoot button....... I changed the file division time of the loop shooting from 3 minutes to 5 minutes in the middle, but all the videos before that are missing...... Isn't it possible that the previous video is deleted after the change .... It's not like that, is it?
So all that was left was the video from Yokohama Yokosuka Road to Daisan Keihin on the way home: ..... And the sound was turned off......
I also bought an extra battery from Amazon, so I need to get used to using it...... I think I'll be using two cameras with WG-M1 for the new year holidays......
Whale for lunch
After crossing into Chiba, we took Route 410 to Minamiboso. The course takes us through the mountains for a bit. The road was empty, so we made quick progress to our destination for the day.
We went to a whale restaurant that we had been wanting to go to for a long time, partly because Sea Shepherd stopped their whaling sabotage activities this year (a lie).
I chose a set meal that includes a variety of whale dishes: sashimi of minke whale meat and skin, whale cutlets and deep-fried tofu, grilled whale, tsukudani, and salad with whale tail feathers.
I am of the generation that was served whale tatsuta-age in school lunches in elementary school, but we don't usually eat much of it. Whale. I remember seeing a restaurant specializing in whale dishes in Shibuya, but this is probably the first time I've eaten whale properly this century. It was very tasty with a strange texture.
After we finished eating, we drove along the Boso Flower Line from Nojimazaki Lighthouse to Suzaki, but as expected, there were hardly any flowers in the middle of winter.
As I'll write later, I didn't really feel like the Boso Peninsula, so I decided to head home early. I thought about my route while drinking my after-dinner canned coffee at the beach in Suzaki.....
Oh, that's right. Let's take the boat home.
Take the Tokyo Bay Ferry to Yokosuka
So I went to the ferry terminal in Kanaya. I had a bad feeling when I saw the ferry on the wharf a little before......
When I arrived, the boat had just left a few minutes ago, but if there is a different route for the outbound and inbound, I'd rather not take the same route back, so I decided to wait an hour to board the boat.
Time passed quickly as I sat on the quay looking out at the sea and the ship approached.
A quick boarding......
There was a beautiful sunset when we left the ship.
After a quick boat trip, we landed in Yokosuka at a time when night was beginning to fall.
I hadn't been to a hot spring recently, so I went to Yokosuka Onsen Yuraku no Sato, a few kilometers from the ferry terminal. It was the end of the year, so it was expected to be very crowded......
The bedrock bathing corner, which costs extra, was empty. I took a nap while taking the outdoor bath and then headed home.
There is an interchange on the Yokohama Yokosuka Road right next to the hot springs, so I arrived home 45 minutes after leaving the bath.
We ended 2017 with a short walk touring at 260km.
[Thoughts] Boso Peninsula as a Touring Destination
To begin with, I tend to go out to the mountains except in winter, and the Boso Peninsula is basically a candidate for touring destination only in winter. As far as I can remember, I've only been out touring two or three times in the past two years.
As I was driving this time, I was thinking that the main reason why it is not a candidate for a touring destination even though it is so close is because"I don't know of any routes where you can enjoy ups and downs."That's the biggest reason. In addition, because it is adjacent to Tokyo, there is a certain amount of urban area and traffic, so it is difficult to get an extraordinary feeling. So, if I can wake up early, I'll choose Izu......
Of course, I'm sure there are some winding roads where you can enjoy the twists and turns if you look for them, so next time I'll do some research before I go out. By the way, Route 410, which I drove this time, is often searched as a recommended touring road, but although it has the advantage of being just over an hour away from home, the winding distance is overwhelmingly too short......
So I didn't have much time to enjoy the winding roads, so I forgot to change the rebound damping force adjustment while driving.
