Sortie with an uncoated sheet.....
I bought materials and tools for my comfortable touring strategy, and I've been working on it.(Part 1、Part 2)
I would escape from reality and play with peeling off the paint of Nivea blue cans with a stripper......
I was so engrossed in playing with my Amazon Echo, which arrived the day after it was released, that I neglected it for a while...... By the way, I've already got voice control of all the lights, air conditioning, TV, etc. in my room as well as music playback: .... It's the 21st century!
ButThe only thing left to do is to put up the seat upholstery. And I want to use it for tomorrow's touring, so I'll work on it Friday night: ..... But........
I don't think an amateur could pull this off.
I tried to be careful while warming up the seat surface with a hair dryer, but I could only get a wrinkled finish like "It's a punishment to drive with this on ....". I'll try again later, but if that doesn't work, I'll take it to a seat shop I found nearby.....
So, today I'm going out with the normal seat. It's been a very cold day, so I'm ready to install Heatech and other heating equipment.
When I was in Chiba for a work meeting the other day, I rode my motorcycle from Tokyo on the Wangan and Tokan roads, and on the way back I took the Tateyama road to the Aqua line, a petit-tour ride, but after the sun went down it was impossible without heating......
From Izu Skyline to Higashi-Izu
So, today I went out to Izu. First, from the Izu Skyline.....
Fuji through the crisp winter air, we headed to the Izu Peninsula.
After passing through the Amagi Kogen Tollbooth on the same empty road, we headed south along the coast of Higashi-Izu. "Ahhh, I haven't seen the ocean in a long time....." I thought, "I haven't seen the ocean in a long time.Touring in early NovemberBut you're looking at the sea of Ibaraki... Well, if it's been a month, it's been a while.
The eastern coast of Izu is also free of traffic jams if you use the Skyline and start driving after you reach this area.
Higashi-Izu Town Wind Power Plant
And here is the break point for today's morning.
When you are touring from east to south Izu, you can sometimes see the super huge windmills of wind power generation, but here you can access right down to the bottom. Seriously huge.
A white windmill spinning boldly with quite a noise under a clear blue winter sky..... No, it's breathtaking!
Nigiri of sea bream
After the break, we had lunch. Actually, this was half the reason why we chose Izu as our touring destination today. I had been fascinated by a picture of sea bream that a friend had posted on Facebook the night before.
What? This is delicious! That's Inatori's Kinmede.
The nigiri of seared Kinmede served with only two cans of fish is also very interesting...... I ordered the set meal, but there was more than just this nigiri.
Raw oysters and....
It came with ara soup.
When I think of sea bream in Higashi-Izu, Tokuzo Maru comes to mind first, but it's hard to get in there when you're solo, so I googled it beforehand and chose a sushi restaurant in town this time, and it was a good decision.
To Nishi-Izu via Minami-Izu
After finishing our meal, we continued our ride. We drove non-stop from Kawazu to Shimoda, then around Minami-Izu and out to Nishi-Izu. I thought about taking a break at the usual footbath on the beach at Kumomi Onsen, but it was already 14:00 at this point. Since the sun would be setting in another two and a half hours, we skipped the relaxing footbath and sat on the pier at Iwachi Fishing Port, our first stop, and took a short break.
After taking a break, we headed north along the coast of Nishi-Izu and entered the Nishi-Izu Skyline while it was still light. Fuji can be seen all the way north along the coast of Nishi-Izu, but I had to snap a picture when I reached this point.
It would have been the quickest way to get home from Hakone by taking the Izu Skyline, but my usual habit of wanting to take as different roads as possible on the outward and return trips led me to take Prefectural Road 18 to Prefectural Road 127 over the Mashiro Pass and along the coast of Nishi-Izu again.
We were heading north along the coast again and entered Numazu City. The sun was setting here. Mt. Fuji again.
one's way back
We took the Tomei Expressway from the Numazu IC. Since we were touring with few breaks, we took a break at Komamon PA right after getting on the highway. I heard that this is the PA that sells the most American dogs in Japan, so I took a break with coffee and American dogs.
After that, I made my way home a little after 8:00 p.m., which was early for me, passing through the traffic jam on the Tomei highway as usual.
The following are two souvenirs that I was not sure whether to buy at Komamon PA.
