Golden Week Eve
It has begun. Golden Week.
However, I actually started my GW mode yesterday. I had a project to go to Gotemba area with my staff for work, and I decided to consider the option of buying a used cheap fun car instead of an additional motorcycle, so I rented this one and set off.
The AUDI A5 2.0T quattro has over 50,000 km on the odometer, and if I were to buy a used car for fun, I would buy a coupe, but the basics are the same, and I was interested in the AUDI quattro (four-wheel drive). If you are looking for a used car with good mileage, the initial cost is not that different from buying a new large motorcycle.
So, I went to Gotemba and back. I bought some dorayaki at Toraya Kobo and went home.
Hmmm. A car must be able to run with the engine running to be fun to drive........
So the day ended with a bite of dorayaki, thinking, "Maybe I'll drive an Alfa Romeo MiTo next.
cThe C-BOW has arrived.
It's been a beautiful day, but I've been cleaning my room and finishing up in the morning. In the afternoon, I'm going to open this package.
I was worried that they might not arrive in time for GW. I was worried that it might not arrive in time for GW, but the HEPCO&BECKER side bag and mounting kit (C-BOW) arrived just in time. The seat bag alone is enough for overnight touring, but I was worried about loading it for two nights or more, so I introduced it. If you have a bike with a mounting kit, you can use the side bags, so even if you have an extra bike, you can use the C-BOW on that too...... By the way, the C-BOW for CB750 (RC42) is not available, so CB750 is no longer a candidate for additional bike..... The other day, I saw a person who rode the bike at "2Rinkan" and heard the sound of the engine, but it didn't feel right to me, so I decided to install C-BOW.
The attached instructions are in German.......It is ...... "My second foreign language was German, but now I'm not so sure."Ich habe kein Geld."I can only remember one example sentence that says..."
But when I looked closer, I saw that there was an explanation in English after the German.
The picture is easy to understand, and I immediately went down to the parking lot to install it.
First, the rear fender. I used the original screw holes to install the mounting kit........
Attach the bracket to the side side as well.
And connect the C-BOW bag mounting plate!
When I finished attaching the right side of the bag, I tried it on and it felt super good. It also locks up properly, so no problem leaving it on.
Next up is the left side, and then the final touches: .... However, to install the left side, I had to tighten the mounting bracket to the screw hole where the KIJIMA helmet holder is installed.
The screws that come with the kit (M6x16mm) are not long enough to fit: ...... I also need to install another bar that connects the mounting kit to the left and right side under the rear fender, but the screw for that is also a few millimeters too short to fit the nut properly. .... In the meantime, I removed the helmet holder from the left side and was about to install it temporarily....... I lost the nut and washer when the part I was temporarily fastening came off......
Installation: ..... It won't stick.
Some kind of nut has gone flying off...... I looked around on the ground, thinking it must be nearby, but couldn't find it. I found the washer on the inside of the cowl, but I couldn't find the nut. I tried rocking the car back and forth, but it didn't seem like it was mixed in with the body. I'm going to need some extra long bolts anyway, so that's it for today.
We'll continue tomorrow and head to Rough and Road, which is just over a 20-minute walk away......
But then I found myself in front of this thing.
Pork star in Motosumiyoshi. Limited edition salt ramen. Fewer noodles, garlic and oil.
I've been piggybacked since the first day of GW.
So, once I was full, I went to Rough & Load again to get bolts and nuts.
We'll continue tomorrow.........
