early rising and late leaving
A sunny holiday... I successfully woke up at 6:30 a.m. .... I've been looking for a new bike for a while now, but the one I rented last night, the Street 750, didn't give me an exciting first impression, and I didn't think it was suitable for a long trip at high speed, so I lounged around in my room and left after 9:00.
Not using the highway... That narrowed down my choices. I had a feeling that Hakone would be crowded, so I decided to go to Doshi-michi and see Mt.
Lost & Found
I decided to take the downward road, so I headed in the direction of Atsugi first, but as expected, it was very crowded. When I saw the word Sagamihara on the blue sign, I turned right. It's a rental bike, so I don't have a smartphone navigation system, but I'm sure there will be more blue signs like Ken-Odo and Aikawa in the future...... But
The Great Lost it is.There was a theory that I should just stop and check the route with my smartphone navigation system, but since I was renting this car as a candidate for an extra work vehicle, I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to wander around the city and try it out. By the way, I was thinking of going to Doshi-michi like the red arrow on this map, so I took a long detour.
It's almost midnight and for some reason I'm wandering around the Nozaru Kaido near Hino City. I was getting hungry around here, so I had lunch at Burger King with an avocado wrapper that caught my eye.
As expected, I gave up at this point and headed for Doshi-michi, stopping occasionally on the shoulder to check my current position and route with my smartphone.
Dazed and confused from Doshi-michi to Mt. Fuji.
I've been watching a lot of MOTOBASIC's impression videos lately.
The traffic is heavy, and it's not very winding. There are many roads that I personally enjoy driving on within the same day trip, so I don't come here often. In the past three years, I think I've done it on one hand. By the way, here's a video of me running through the Doshi-michi in 10 minutes with 8x speed playback.
The roadside station is always crowded, and we often pass through without stopping. So we took a break on the shoulder of the road in front of the station.
However, when I was taking a break, I had to go to the bathroom. So I decided to stop by the roadside station. As usual, there were a lot of motorcycles there!
After that, we passed through Doshi-michi and headed for Yamanakako and Kawaguchiko. I was hoping to find a place where I could get a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji, but unfortunately, my wish didn't come true as clouds started to appear in the afternoon.....
I was planning to go to the "Fumotoppara", but as it became cloudy and a little chilly, I decided to wander around the area and see if I could find a place to stay.
I made my way home with plenty of time to return the rental bike. The Tomei Expressway was a bit congested on the way back, but I passed through quickly, and today's touring ended with a little more than 300km of walking.
