It is so small and light that even when chin-mounted on a helmet, I forget that I have it on, and so far it has become my favorite camera with only one drawback.
The WG-M1 is too big to mount on a helmet, and the SJ6 Legend feels very heavy due to air resistance when chin-mounted (it weighs almost the same as the GoPro Session...).
Easy to use. Light. Small.
Yes. After all, the biggest advantage is that it is small and light.Jaw mount like thisIt's got an arm for (The camera in the photo is the SJ6 Legend.)
Since I went with GoPro, I also have an external microphone & USB power adapter that can be attached to the helmet with Velcro.
I often get talked to when I carry around a helmet with a GoPro attached because it looks so exaggerated, but the actual fit is great and I don't feel any weight or air resistance even when I'm driving at high speed.
With the WG-M1, you have to do two actions to start recording: turn on the power and start recording, but with the GoPro, you only have to press the button once, so it's easy even while running.
The external microphone... I can't hear the melody road.
However, there is one major drawback.....When I start recording with an external microphone attached, the audio is not recorded....... What is that specification .... Isn't that stupid?
But I knew this before I bought it, and there is no sign of any improvement in this situation since the firmware when it was first released, so I pressed the start recording button and then plugged the external microphone back in..... In the end, I'm using two actions....orz
If you have a microphone with a power supply, you don't have to worry about that, but that would make the wiring and weight even more exaggerated, and you would lose the compactness of the Session.
When it's done well, it's a very satisfying video, but because of this shortcoming, it often causes problems like this....
Well, I couldn't hear the melody vape sound at all when I was actually running, so I don't think I could have recorded it even if the microphone was fine. .... GoPro's OS is probably embedded linux or something like that, so I hope they improve the firmware as soon as possible!...
