As expected of the Tohoku region. Basically, it was not that hot. The temperature display on the shoulder of the road showed a maximum of 32 degrees Celsius. We didn't see any traffic jams or slow-moving traffic in the city. We didn't have any scenes like that, so it was very hot and hard... So, it was not too hot. Comfortable touring throughout the three-day weekend.
The route was focused on getting up to the highest elevation possible, so at the top of Hachimantai, where it was the coldest, I thought, "I'll just use the grip heater on low..." It was the coldest part of the route. However, heat stroke can be difficult to notice, so it is essential to take precautions when touring in this season.Electric heating equipment in winterI'm sure it's a great idea.
The strongest theory of vaporization heat
One of the nice things about riding a motorcycle is that you can be exposed to the wind while riding. So when I was riding in the city, I wore a soaked hand towel around my neck, which I had carried for the hot spring.
The water drips down your chest and back, soaking your back and chest area.
When your hand towel dries out, you can use the restroom at a roadside station or convenience store to rehydrate it. However, if you wear a gray t-shirt, it will look awkward when you take off your riding jacket, so we recommend wearing a dark t-shirt or polo shirt.
resort to drugs
If the water can't keep up.This is the strongest. This is a good thing. It has a longer lasting effect than water, which dries out.
Take two or three drops in your palm, dilute it with water, mix it, and spread it on your neck, upper arms, or anywhere else where the wind blows. If you apply it at a high concentration, it will hurt, so be careful.
Not only when touring, but also when taking a bath, you can put a few drops in the bathtub or dilute it with water and put it on your body after taking a bath to prevent extreme heat.
It also repels insects and eases the smell of sweat, so I secretly think it's a must-have for summer touring riders.
innerwear
This is the standard inner layer. I often see riders and cyclists wearing the same one while taking a break.
Aside from the cool feeling effect, it also prevents your clothes from clinging to your body due to sweat. It is also effective in preventing sunburn because it seems to have a UV inhibiting effect.
The area between the inner lining and the glove is sunburned in a band on my wrist.
Outerwear and Gloves
This is my favorite outerwear. Riding clothes are often embarrassing when you get off the bike because of their loud colors and large logos (although I think they are trying to deter accidents)....
I bought this jacket from Ruff and Road, and it's a simple single rider style with no logos. It's a simple single rider style with no logos. It has protectors on the back, elbows, and shoulders, which is ideal for me.
I've been using it for two years and it's starting to look a little ragged, so I'm thinking of buying another one before it's discontinued.
And here are the gloves. This was the lowest-priced mesh glove with protector at 2Rinkan when I went to buy it. I think it was around 3,000 yen?
The other day when I fell. This was enough for me.
riding shoes
Synthese15, the mesh version of everyone's favorite ELF Synthese14
Previously.Write down your impressions.I can't think of a better choice than mesh. My feet don't get steamy. My socks stay dry even when I come home with sweaty upper body.
On this touring trip, we took a dip in the river at Mototaki Fountainhead and played in the water, but the inside of our shoes became dry and smooth as we ran.
So, I'm pretty happy with this style for my summer touring. If you want more than this, you can go to .... I'm not sure if I need to wear something like this or not.
