Oil change every 3,000 km
The last oil change was in early June.Less than two months have passed since then, and the mileage since the replacement has exceeded 3,000km.
The 300V Motul oil that I spent a lot of money on last time was very good, just as they say.Touring to the Venus Line, which I went to right after. But for a while after I started running, I remember being amazed at how great the oil was.
I can see why it has a reputation as an oil that once you learn it, you can't go back. However, 4,000 yen per liter...On Amazon, you can buy it for less than 3,000 yen a liter. However, it is quite a luxury item.
By the way, the impressive effect of the car was not so impressive after 1,500km. And now after 3,000km, the shift feeling is getting worse.
I wondered if the feeling would last a little longer, so I started to choose my next oil.
Prepare the next oil.
So, I looked at the MOTUL lineup and found out that besides 300v, there are also 5100 (partial synthetic oil) and 7100 (100% synthetic oil).
Thai-made parallel twin cylinder. The 5100 is probably sufficient for the Ninja 650, which is designed for touring, and it contains esters, which is one of Motul's strengths. However, from the reviews on the web, it seems that there is a big difference between the 5100 and the 300v.
So I decided to go with the middle grade 7100. As usual, I went to Amazon and bought it.
On Amazon, there's almost no price difference between the 300v and the 300v, but I've seen comments that the feeling is relatively long-lasting, so I'm hoping for better cost performance there.
And it arrived safely the next day.
By the way, I was on a motorcycle yesterday, so I stopped by 2Rinkan on the way to cool off.
The price of the 7100 that I checked in the store was a bit higher than Amazon's.
However, with the Ninja 650 needing only 1.6 liters of oil per change (1.8 liters when the filter is changed), it would have been better to buy this at the store and have it changed.
Well, it was delivered when I got home, so I'll replace it myself.
The exchange is... Next week.
Well, this weekend is a typhoon.
I spent my childhood in Kochi Prefecture and lived in Kyushu until high school, so I'm relatively used to typhoons, but this was the first time I've ever seen one with such a course.
I am worried about the effects of the recent torrential rains in western Japan, especially in the Chugoku region.
Of course, there was no way I could go touring....
The oil change will be postponed until next week.
