First fall in a year, second in my lifetime.
It happened on the way down the mountain off the Venus Line: .... By the way, this is 5 seconds before the trouble happened. At this point, I'm probably more concerned about the oncoming car than the sign on the side of the road.
If you watch the video, you'll see that he doesn't seem to open the gas pedal wide open after passing the oncoming car."Note on paragraph difference"I think you probably saw the sign for .... I probably didn't see the white sign behind it, though. It was too bright. No, I don't know if I could see it. I don't remember, but in the video, it doesn't look like he was braking hard even when he passed by the sign.
By the way, the white sign in the back is this: .... But...
It warned me about the gravel road, but if you look at the video, two seconds later, this is what happened...
So, here's how it works.
The only thing I saw was a sign saying "Beware of steps" (I think. I don't remember), so I didn't think the paving would be finished.....
The steps, or rather, the pavement, are finished....
Damage
I've got a GoPro video of the whole thing, but I'll delete it after I write this blog post.
It's not a pleasant image to watch... So, here's the damage.
Motorcycle
- Around the right side cowl
The speed was not that high. It didn't turn out to be a big problem, so this is the most serious damage. By the way.Yesterday's blog postBut I've been taking pictures in this state since the middle of the day, and you can't tell from a distance.
The slider will reduce damage to the first half of the vehicle and the second half of the vehicle.Recently installed C-BOWIt was the first time I had ever seen such a thing.
Probably without the C-BOW, the rear blinker and step area and the muffler would have been damaged.
- helmet
I remember hitting the side of my head on the ground with a lot of force when I fell, so I guess I'll have to buy a new helmet... The scar itself is also thisPhotochromic shields have not been installed for very long. The helmet itself has no noticeable scratches, but there are some scratches on the...

The grip ends, mirrors, and of course the sliders were scratched, and the rear step was scraped a bit. But the damage was less than what I felt when I fell, and the step and brake pedal didn't bend. But the damage was much less than when I fell.
So...Napoleon mirror installed to replace the mirror that snapped off during the last fall.is folded and safe without breaking as expected.
Well, if you take a closer look (I'm afraid I haven't taken a long look yet), you might find some problems, but since I drove more than 200km home after this, including winding roads and highways, I'm sure there won't be any major problems.
This is the second time I've fallen off the Ninja 650, which is the same bike I've been riding for the past 25,000km.The last time I did this, I didn't pay enough attention to the road, and I crashed.the fact is that ......

- Protectors are great. Safety shoes are amazing.
Trailer VideoAs I mentioned in the previous page, the knee of my jeans got torn back and I got damaged jeans that I've been longing for....
When I fell, my knee was under the car and I was dragged a little between the car and the ground, but my knee was only slightly bruised. I was dragged between the car and the ground, but my knee is only a little bruised. It's still swollen, but I can go home and go out as usual the next day.
My ankle was a little sore, and it throbbed when I stepped on the rear brake on the way home, but I didn't bruise it or twist it. I haven't twisted it yet.ELF Synthese15 Mesh Riding ShoesI was wearing Otafuku safety shoes, not
The human was unharmed, except for a drag mark on his toe.
- Upper Body
When he fell, he seemed to be doing something passive, and his right upper arm was slightly bruised. It's not a big problem for daily life. I was wearing a Rough & Load mesh jacket on my upper body, and the shoulder, elbow, and back protectors did their job. By the way, I changed the protector on the jacket to a slightly better one on the back.
This jacket.Purchased at a local Rough & RoadsIt's a simple single rider style, and I love it because it doesn't have any manufacturer's logo on it.
I think I bruised the back of my hand a little bit, but it's only slightly bruised too. The glove I'm using right now is a cheap mesh glove that I bought for about 3,000 yen (I think it's a collaboration product with 2Rinkan)....
The protector seems to have done its job here as well.
things to be considered
I don't know, I guess this means that I'm not doing a good job of "driving with caution". My eyesight is so bad that I can barely renew my driver's license even with corrected vision, so I'm going to get a pair of glasses with a little more power and try to drive carefully.
Also, I'm so used to driving that I'm not very careful."I didn't read the warnings on the shoulder properly."That's another big thing to reflect on.
It's just a coincidence that there was almost no damage to my body this time.I'm going to think about it and drive more safely in the future.
Shopping...
Now, for the price of make-believe, you have to pay materially for the near-zero payment in your body.
Cowl replacement
ImmediatelyKawasaki Genuine Parts SearchI looked up the model number and price at
If you want to buy it, you can mail order it from Monotaro or ask Kawasaki Plaza... But......
If you don't mind scratches on the tandem step and just replace the cowl, this is the price... 50,000 per moss.
Oh, you know, like 2Rinkan's genuine parts ordering service.Webike's Mail OrderThen I guess I'll get points and save some money....orz
helmet
I really like the SHOEI Z-7 TERMINUS that I am using now. I checked out all the graphic models on SHOEI's website, but I still like this one.
On the other hand, the Z-7's weak point is its breathability. The SHOEI J-Cruise that I used before had good ventilation on the top of my head, even if I discounted the fact that it was a jet helmet.
The size of the frontal air intake is already different in appearance. If you are looking for a full face with similar specifications, SHOEI GT-Air was also a candidate last time. But I don't need the retractable inner sun visor, because it was also attached to the J-Cruise, but I didn't use it at all.
Either way, it's a pretty good price... If you add up the cowl and helmet, the total price could reach 2 million yen!...orz
As a reminder and warning, I think I'll keep the cowl on for a while.....
