I was thinking of overhauling the OHLINS rear shock.
I'm spending the winter not being able to ride my bike because I'm nursing my family cat, but I'm still thinking about my bike. What I'm most interested in is the OHLINS overhaul.

The official recommended maintenance interval is 10,000 to 20,000 km or once every two years, so in terms of mileage, it's almost at the upper limit. I've already gotten used to the comfort and stability that I was so impressed with right after the replacement, and since I've been riding it frequently, I haven't felt any deterioration, but I'm personally super excited to see how much this will be improved by the overhaul.
A little curious about the feel of the front... I don't know if it's just my imagination.
It's been a year and a half since I took delivery of my new car. The odometer reads 25,000km, which is the mileage at which consumable parts generally need to be taken care of. One thing that's been bothering me lately is the feel of the front end. Especially when going around downhill corners. I don't remember it feeling like this. I'm starting to feel it.
Specifically, the stem seems to be a little loose, and the left-right movement seems to be less smooth. It may just be my imagination, but this bike has been sitting in a bike shop warehouse for about two years since it was manufactured. It's a little early, but I think it's time to give it some TLC.

So, I've been thinking that I'd like to take care of the other parts, especially the moving parts, including greasing them up. This is what I'm concerned about at the moment.
- Stem bearings
- Wheel bearings
- Hub Damper
- Grease up all parts (especially the swing arm)
The store in Chiba, where I found the last genuine new stock of the old Ninja 650 in the Kanto area, doesn't seem to be very interested in participating in the reorganization of the Kawasaki dealer network, so I think I'll look for a Kawasaki store nearby that I can have a long term relationship with and consult with.
