February 22nd is Cat Day... So, I went to Izu on a company-wide holiday. Around this time last yearThere was still plenty of snow in the mountains when I went to the...
As expected from a mild winter, the snow"S"I didn't even see any letters. This time, I drove a car instead of a motorcycle....
I took the usual course of Tomei - Odata-Atsu - Turnpike, thinking it would be a pain in the ass to drive a four-wheeler, which, unlike a motorcycle, steals time from traffic.
The weather forecast was not good, but we were blessed with good weather. We passed through the Izu Skyline, which is half-price during the Kawazu cherry blossom season, and went down along the Higashi-Izu coastline to Minami-Izu.
We went to Shimogamo Onsen to enjoy cherry blossoms and rape blossoms instead of Kawazu area which was crowded even on weekdays....
I had a nigiri of sea bream at a sushi restaurant in Inatori, which is becoming my favorite place....
I spent a cat day in a hot spring and then a Thai massage.
I'll take the bike.
My cat, who has been sick since the end of last year and was diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma early in the year (although I am divorced and my ex-family has custody), went to the foot of the rainbow bridge last week.
He was 13 years and 8 months old when he underwent major heart surgery right after he was born. He didn't suffer until the end, and gave us time to prepare for the farewell, and although I couldn't make it, I said goodbye to the most filial son in the world who spent his last moments peacefully with his custodian, and we cremated him the other day.
I'm feeling strangely calm myself. I feel like I can go back to my normal life, except for the loneliness, but the person who has custody of my child, who I spent more time with than I did, can't, and I need to continue taking care of him... So we drove to Izu this time. This time we went to Izu by car, as it was the first time in 7 years that the two of us went out by car together, although we usually have dinner together.
We still have three cats, and during the care period, my former family member and I had been working shifts to provide all-day care, but that was cancelled.
You'll also have to remove the nursing home equipment from the custodian's home while loving on the other cats that only get in the way....
I came home using the same route I've been taking since the beginning of the year.
Actually, I avoided touring because I thought, "If I get injured here by mistake, it will affect the care of my third son (cat) who is fighting a disease," so I just drove along the Daisan Keihin at a moderate speed, but I don't need to do that anymore.
I've been slacking off a bit at work during the nursing care period, which combined with the end of the fiscal year has put me in a difficult situation, but I'm going to get back on the bike as soon as I'm done.
