The Tokyo Metropolitan Area Touring Plan was launched in 2017. I've been using it a lot, and there are a lot of touring trips I've done because of it.
The touring season is about to start again this year... I was thinking that the touring season is about to start, but then I found out that new plans have been announced. First of all, two plans were announced. In addition"For riders in the Tokyo metropolitan area going to Hokkaido by ferry, a plan that allows them to ride freely on all expressways in Hokkaido for up to two weeks at a fixed rate."This year, we're going to have another long-distance touring event. It looks like long-distance touring will be in progress again this year.

This is not a motorcycle-only touring plan, but in any case, it is an all-you-can-ride highway discount plan. I'm sure it will come out in the summer or fall, and maybe there will be additional motorcycle-only plans, but as of today, it looks like the following two plans are available for purchase.
Unfortunately, there are no plans for the Tohoku region from the Tokyo metropolitan area, but it seems like a great way to get around the vast Tohoku region efficiently.
Gugutsu-Gunma Free Pass
This is a Gunma plan that looks a little easier to use.
2,400 yen for 2 days of unlimited rides within the designated area, departing from the Tokyo metropolitan area.
The Shiga-Kusatsu Kogen route from Kusatsu Onsen to Shibutoge has been closed due to volcanic activity, but it seems to be easy to use for a short trip to Niigata or Toyama, or to pass through Gunma to Nagano. I'll probably use it a lot. I'll probably use this a lot.
2019 Tohoku Sightseeing Free Pass
Unlike Googling, there are no discount plans for access from the Tokyo metropolitan area to Tohoku, but last year's touring reminded me of the vastness of Tohoku, so if you plan to spend two nights touring locally, you can save money. Here's an example. This is a 6 prefecture tour plan for Tohoku that costs 8,000 yen for up to 3 consecutive days (6,000 yen for 2 days).
Three prefectures a day. It would be a good idea to drive only on the tasty roads and use the highway for inter-city travel.
There are also narrower plans such as the Northern Tohoku Plan and the Southern Tohoku Plan, which will be useful for overnight touring in Tohoku.
My dreams are expanding.
