The front side was replaced smoothly, but the rear side was neglected.
It's been a busy weekend at work and the weather has been so bad that I haven't been able to ride, but I have a reservation at a business hotel in Fukushima for tomorrow, so I'm going to start working on it.
Previously.Kiyosato~Nomugi Pass TouringI went on the Ninja 650 in the first round, so the GSX-S1000 was next.
I don't have enough tools....
There is a reason why I neglected the rear for a while. The rear fender is fixed with hexagonal bolts, and this is the only non-vehicle tool I have on hand. Poor!...
I need to extend the ratchet socket to remove a hexagon that's a bit deep, but I have it on hand.Amon Industries' Mini Ratchet SetI couldn't find the extension socket that came with the
One of these days I'll turn over my moving stuff and look for it... If I can't find it, I'll buy it... And the raving neglect began... and
And then one day it occurred to me. I thought, "Oh, I can use that, can't I? I thought. And here it is.
It's a toy-like screwdriver set, but it comes with a bar that can extend the socket.
Exchange complete. Oiling and air pressure check!
So, I succeeded in removing the rear fender.
All you have to do now is wire it according to the instructions that come with it.
I also had to remove the rear seat cowl to replace the standard relay....
The work was completed in a matter of minutes.
I had a little trouble fitting the rear seat cowl back on, but once I got back to my room and had a smoke, I was ready to go."I'll decide in one go!"After careful work, I was done.
but exterior break-in is complete....orz
After finishing the work, I went to the gas station to refuel and check the air pressure in preparation for tomorrow's touring. I hadn't ridden in a while, so my air pressure was a little low, but I got it down to 2.5 in the front and 2.9 in the back!
After a bit of shopping at the convenience store, I took the long way home since it's been a while since I've ridden the GSX-S1000. Yeah. This is what happened when I got home....orz
I'm currently living in a new residential area on a hill, but I've only just moved here, so I'm not familiar with the area... I'm still new to the area, so I'm not familiar with it. I stopped on the way up, and then made a sharp left turn onto the two-lane road. The car stalled and I fell over... That's it!...orz
The GSX-S1000 is equipped with a function called "Low RPM Assist" that automatically raises the RPM a little bit when starting off at low speeds, but it usually stalls if you don't open the gas pedal slightly while half-clutching... I learned a lot... (crying)
The broken clutch lever and radiator shroud can be fixed by replacing them, but the heartbreak and the cracked crankcase cover cannot be replaced by an amateur.
