Well, actually, it arrived quite a while ago. So I thought I'd start working on it in the light of day today....
Two days ago, we had an oyster festival where we ate more than 20 raw oysters alone. My body was probably fighting noro, and I had a slight fever last evening, so I slept during the day.
I like oysters so much that I say "NO OYSTER, NO LIFE," and the all-you-can-eat raw oysters were from Senphoji, which I like the most, so I took a lot of them.
I digressed, but here's what was in my luggage.
U-KANAYA's billet aluminum lever
Heatech Heat Battery Harness
DAYTONA's Multibar with USB Power Supply Handlepost Clamp Type
KIJIMA's ACC branching harness
I bought it from Rakuten instead of Amazon, I think I missed the part where you can choose the color of the adjuster on the order screen for the U-Kanaya lever, but I ordered it without specifying the color. Well, I don't care what color I get. I thought it was blue, but it was blue.
I'm thinking of going touring tomorrow, so I'll go down to the garage after dark and do a little work.
In the meantime, replace the lever.
For now.The clutch lever I broke the other day. When I went out yesterday, I bought some all-purpose grease at 2Rinkan....
Remove the nut on the back of the lever... Bring the groove of the adjuster to a good position....
Quickly remove the lever.
Remove the collar from the removed lever... Apply grease... Apply grease to the cable ties and other contact areas....
I also lubricated the cables a bit.
The replacement was completed in a jiffy. I started the engine and adjusted the play with the cable adjuster while looking for the position of the half-clutch. By the way, tightening the cable adjuster will increase the play, and loosening it will decrease it.
Wiring the heater with
Next is Heatech's direct baffle wiring. It was snowing on the Kinsei Pass during the autumn leaf touring the other day... The electric heating system was very useful even though it was October. The GSX-S1000 is not equipped with grip heaters, but I wanted to use the electric heating gloves, so I installed the wiring.
By the way, a friend of mine went over the Kinsei Pass in the morning today... I got this message
It looks like there are no more places that are over 1,800 meters above sea level....
And heating.
This is already easy, just cotighten the harness to the battery.
This will help you fight through the winter.
I took the connector out from under the seat.
So, I disconnected the battery, and I had to set my crazy clock....
That's all for today.
The brake lever and USB power supply will have to wait for another time, and today's work is done.
Well, where should I go tomorrow?
