Well, the other day.LED headlight bulbsToday, I changed the blinkers to LED. I bought them before the delivery of the car, and I used the special products from Kijima.
There were some problems with the initial lot, such as the cable not being long enough to fit the GSX-S1000, but I'm sure that's no longer the case. The manual also mentions that it is compatible with the GSX-S1000, but there are no pictures or instructions. However, there are a lot of parts that are common to the models described in the manual, so it's easy to work with. I didn't have the service manual with me, so I started working on the actual product.
First, the front. So far, so easy.
The headlight area was already disassembled in the previous work, so I just did a quick job and removed the standard blinkers. After removing one bolt and disconnecting the connector on the car body side, it comes off easily. Comparison of standard blinkers and LEDs to be installed. It's going to be a lot smaller and smarter. After looking at the instructions again, I started to install the blinkers, but there was almost nothing to worry about. I just had to follow the wiring instructions when I removed the car. I thought I would have to remove the meter unit, but in fact I was able to do it with the tools I had, so there was no need to remove the meter unit. However, it was easier to remove the screws and couplers and move the unit a little to make it easier to insert the tools. Easily attached.
I haven't replaced the relays yet, but the flashing speed is not too bad. The blinkers are much smaller than the standard blinkers and the light is much sharper. I'm sure they will be more visible to other cars. Of course, power consumption is also probably lower with LEDs.
Even a simple tool makes a big difference if you don't have it.
As before, the tools I have were very useful for this project. I don't have any expensive tools, but just having these things makes a big difference in my workability.
But the cheap ones seem to have problems with accuracy and so on. I had a feeling that I might lick the threads and nuts, so I personally feel that I should have bought a reliable one like KTC from the beginning.
I have a feeling I'll be replacing it soon....
I went out to eat, so I'll continue later.
So that's it for today. I haven't replaced the rear yet.... We had promised to go out for dinner, so we went to Noge for some cheap hormone. We ate meat at a restaurant with a standard budget of 2,000 yen on the food log, and the bill was over 10,000 yen for the two of us.
