Sorry about that. The next Ninja 400 won't look like this: ....
The new Ninja 400, which is not a scaled-down version of the Ninja 650 but shares the same bodywork as the Ninja 250, was unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show and we had a look at it.
An all-round sport with a perfect balance of sporty and comfort. The exterior is a super sports ”Ninja ZX-10R" The styling has been redesigned to be slim and sharp, reminiscent of the The lightweight, compact 649cm3 liquid-cooled, four-stroke, in-line two-cylinder engine features powerful torque at low and medium rpm and agile throttle response. The lightweight, compact 649cm3 liquid-cooled, four-stroke, in-line two-cylinder engine features powerful torque at low and mid-range speeds and agile throttle response. The lightweight trellis frame and swingarm, designed using Kawasaki's proprietary analysis technology, and the new horizontal back-link rear suspension provide nimble and comfortable handling. It offers an exciting and sporty ride, while at the same time providing a machine character that can be handled with confidence. With its light and slim body, high handlebars, comfortable seat and height-adjustable screen, it also offers excellent practicality for everyday enjoyment.
The rear suspension is not offset, but mounted at the swing arm as usual.
Nissin brake calipers and Bosch ABS
Analog tachometer and black LCD panel
The tachometer can be set to shift timing. The tachometer needle turns pink when approaching the set value, and changes color to red when the set value is reached!
I've heard that.
Looking at the pictures, the bar handle is a continuation, but it's a designed part and has a sepahane-like feel to it. It looks like it's not possible to replace the handlebars with generic ones, and it's hard to attach generic handlebar clamps. Also, the keyhole is located in front of the tank, just like the current model.
Looking at the photo from above, it is very slim, so I guess it inherited the good footing.
The panel that runs from the inside of the front cowl to the bottom of the tank and seat hides the rim under the tank well.
In the video, the part that looks like a round lid on the left side of the meter is probably a power outlet. That would be nice.
The video shows the Akrapovic muffler as standard. But it looks like a different muffler in the picture, and this one may not be adopted, at least not for the 400.
On the other hand, the smaller tandem seat foreshadows poor load capacity........ The tandem grips also seem to be integrated into the seat cowl. The headlight looks like an LED in the video, but it's not appealing to me....... I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not. The headlight has both eyes on. The video shows that the position lights are a non-LED color......... There is no helmet holder as usual.
However, the overall color of the tourer has been reduced and the styling is more racy like the CBR400R. ...... I don't know...With this styling, I wonder if the 400 will be a step-up model from the Ninja 250.
Hmmm. However, I can't wait to test drive the actual car.
Note: The official Japanese website has also been released.
