If you want to buy a GT-Air, go to ..... I've been thinking about it for a long time, but then I realized I had to buy this one.
I'm using it now.SHOEI J-Cruise CORSO(I just saw that the price has almost doubled since I bought it on Amazon, which scared me.)The convenience of the chinstrap was so easy to use that I was hooked.I was also looking for a candidate with a micro ratchet system. But apparently the word on the street is that D-rings are the way to go: ..... If so, helmets are consumables anyway, so I thought I'd go with a D-ring this time. I saw the design of the TERMINUS in the store and liked it, and when I saw it in the mirror in the store wearing the GT-Air, it was huge...... This is the reason why.
So, it arrived last week.
以As I wrote a little bit in my previous article, I am an Amazon Prime member, so I bought it on impulse late last Friday night (actually Saturday) and it had already arrived the next day (actually the same day) in the evening.
Impromptu things.
After all, it's light.
When I got the box from the delivery guy. ”Is this really what's in it?" That was my first surprise. When I wore it indoors and shook my head, I didn't really feel the weight of the helmet itself shaking me.
It's on SHOEI's website.Helmet Weight Listaccording to (someone)Z-7 graphic model L size 1,398g, J-Cruise graphic model L size 1,481gSo it should only be a difference of less than 100g, but I wonder if the compact size of the cap has something to do with it. By the wayGT-Air graphic model L size: 1,549gSo there is a difference of less than 150g between it and the Z-7. If you put an iPhone 6s on your head, it will be the same.
Form and graphics that make you feel like you're on your way.
Aerodynamic shape of the top and back of the headIf you are of the Gunpla generation, you must have experienced weathering paint at least once.It has a black base. Even with the black base color, the compact size of the helmet is obvious when compared to the J-Cruise. It is hard to believe that this is a comparison between two L size helmets of the same manufacturer.
Plenty of ventilation
Plenty of ventilation mechanisms in the mouth, frontal area, right and left sides of the head, and back of the head. Since it was cooler the other day, I was not able to utilize the ventilation system except for the mouth ventilation, but I think it is cooler than the J-Cruise.
I used it for touring & city driving: .....
Conclusion: D-ring is a pain in the ass.....orz
Well, most of the riders use this type of helmet, so I shouldn't complain, but after knowing the micro ratchet, the hassle of it is quite hard on my body.
If it is touring, it is the type that does not take a break so much, and it does not suffer so much because it does not do much carrying around attached to the helmet holder of the motorcycle, but if it is town riding, it is frequently put on and taken off, and depending on the place where it stops, the helmet is basically carried around.
There are also retrofit one-touch clips available for less than 1,000 yen, but I don't feel like installing them considering the trade-off for safety...... No, it doesn't cost more than 1,000 yen, and I might be tempted sooner or later.......
Other than that...
Other than the D-ring thing, I have no complaints. I was hoping for the aerodynamics and soundproofing of the full face, but as long as I'm driving on the Tomei Expressway at a sensible pace, I don't think it's that different from the J-Cruise.
The purpose of purchasing a full face isInjury rate of 34.6% at the time of the accidentI think I'll use the Z-7 for my future touring, since my goal is to protect.
