Saturday morning walk
I have to stay at home in the afternoon because of a customer's event on Saturday...... So I took a little walk to Honmoku in the morning.
When I used to live nearby, I'm pretty sure it was just YellowHat and no other bike-related tenants, but now it's a motorcycle paradise with authorized Harley and Triumph dealers, 2Rinkan, and U-Media all on the same site.
In particular, the U-MEDIA on the second floor is a large exhibition hall that claims to have 1,000 new and used cars in stock, so you'll never get tired of looking.
I wondered how much a used XL883N would cost, and wandered around the used car section, looking at supersports like the H2 and YZF-R1M. An hour passed before I knew it.
In addition to the new cars, there were also MV Agusta and NORTON lined up, so if you take a break and stop by for a while, I'm sure motorcyclists will enjoy it a lot.
This is super cool.
On the way home, I dropped by the TRIUMPH dealership. After looking at the 2,300cc Roket III and other models in the store, I went inside.
There's a cool bike in the back.......
THRUXTON, the official cafe customizer: ....... Cool: ........ The burnt color of the exhaust pipe matches the gold color of the front fork: ....... The ACE Cafe sticker is also nice ........... I can't remember for sure, but I think it had a price tag of almost 3 million hanging on it........
I ran out of time. I took the Metropolitan Expressway to the Daisan Keihin to get home for work.
Make your touring plans for Sunday at .....
So, while working, I made a touring plan for tomorrow at ..... By the way, as of Friday night, it looked like there would be no rain in the Yamanashi/Nagano area, so I agreed to work on Saturday.
It will be hot when the sun comes out......
- I went to bed early and left the house around 3 a.m. to greet the sunrise while taking a bath at Hotarakashi Onsen.
- I took the Chuo Expressway to Akeno-cho, Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture to take pictures of my bike at a field of sunflowers in full bloom.
- We went to Mugusa Pass and Venus Line to cool off.
- Go around Yatsugatake (Mt. Yatsugatake), or if you have enough time, go to Tsumakoi Village's cabbage fields, where we went in early spring and were disappointed with the scenery.
- Take a bath somewhere and take a nap.
- Returned home after dark.
I've made a perfect plan to do so.
Work at last
It's 5:00 when I wake up! (As expected)
The sky is already bright: ........ I had no choice but to get up slowly and turn on the TV to see the weather forecast: ....... It's going to rain in the mountains today: ...........
Touring cancelled: ....
I still have some work to do that I couldn't finish on Saturday alone, so I'm going to stop touring today and start working on my computer......
So, after lunch, I went out to buy some food and found ......It was cloudy and not so hot.
I went back to my room and got ready to do what I had to do. So, I went back to my room and got ready to put on the rim tape.
The first thing I need to do is clean the wheels, but I'm out of parts cleaner: ....... Then I remembered that I had some Zippo oil in my room, and I said, "This is almost like white gasoline, isn't it?" I went to the parking lot.
I didn't have a sprayer for applying the stickers, but I emptied the closet of a large amount of Lysesh, which I was running out of, and filled it with water and a few drops of mild detergent, and I was ready to go.
I soaked a paper rag in oil and wiped down the rim area. The oil stains were cleaned off. There was a little chain oil on the rear wheel, but it was no problem with Zippo oil.
Apply the rim tape while misting and squirting.
This is the MDF rim tape that I applied this time.
There are three widths: 4mm, 6mm, and 10mm, but I chose the thinnest 4mm. I chose the thinnest one, 4mm. I also bought a gauge for attaching the tape.
The rim tape comes with two spares from the beginning in case you make a mistake, so I tried to apply one without the gauge, but it was a little difficult...... It was a good decision to buy this gauge together.
So, I cracked on with the work. Even though it was cloudy, the temperature was almost 30 degrees Celsius. There was a slight breeze blowing, so the tape dried quickly. While waiting for the tape to dry, I put on a Clay Smith Cams sticker that I had already purchased a long time ago.
And in no time at all, the work was done.
The rim tape is a little twisted (you can see it in the second picture) and the stickers are in different places on the left and right sides, but you can't tell unless you look closely, so it's not a problem.
The width of the rim tape is a modest 4mm, which is just right.
I think I'll just leave it like this, and when it's completely dry and the stickers have settled down, I'll use Plexus to make a film on top.......
So I could only ride about 70km to Honmoku and back this week.......orz
