Sleeping in while traveling.....
I turned up the heat at the hotel and went to bed with the humidifier I borrowed from the front desk on the highest mode. I was able to run the day before without feeling sick, so I'm going to make a full recovery tonight.
I put in a wake-up call at 6:00 and ate breakfast.Urayu Onsen, a hidden hot spring in YamagataPlan to take a morning bath at.....
Wake up at 8:30 a.m.....orz
I didn't notice the wake-up call at all. I left the curtains slightly open to let the morning sunshine in......
The sun was not shining in the right place.
However, my health seems to be fully recovered. I got ready and checked out of the hotel. Passed on the hotel breakfast.
The Bandai-Azuma Skyline is already displayed on a blue sign near Fukushima Station. Even though it was the last day of the consecutive holidays, there was little traffic in the city in the morning. We were on our way to the mountains in no time.
The road surface is somewhat damp, but the mountains seem to be changing color, which adds to the excitement.
Bandai-Azuma Skyline in light snow.
The road surface was a little wet, and there were some fallen leaves as we trudged along, gaining altitude..... But it was drizzling and my visor was a little wet: ..... I paused in the garden of Tengu, thinking that I should put on rainwear.
The Tengu Garden is famous as a place to view autumn leaves, but unfortunately it was cloudy......
What's more, I noticed it after we stopped.....It's snowing, with a hint of sleet.
For the time being, we wore rainwear only on our pants and continued to gain altitude. When the altitude exceeds 1500m, there are clear signs of snowfall.
The temperature was probably below 5 degrees Celsius (the thermometer at the roadside station we stopped at after dropping down in altitude after this was 5 degrees Celsius), but the inner"smooth skin"I put on my rainwear pants and turn on the grip heater, and I'm totally comfortable.
I didn't bring Heateh electric heating wear this time, but it was no problem.
Checking autumn leaves
From the Bandai-Azuma Skyline, we continued on to the Bandai-Azuma Lake Line. The weather was gradually improving, making it a good day for touring.
When I rented the new Ninja 1000.At the point where I took the photo to.....
Another shot of the Ninja 650 and the autumn leaves.
Although the autumn leaves are no longer in full bloom, the mountainside is still beautiful....... The road was covered with wet fallen leaves and was dangerous.
We will drive leisurely and enjoy the scenery. From Lakeline to the direction of Kitakata without entering the Gold Line.
I was hungry, so I had lunch at Roadside Station Urabandai with grilled onigiri and zaru soba.
Go south on Route 121.
From Kitakata, I aim for Utsunomiya on Route 121, which I had intended to use on the outward journey.
In the beginning, the road connects scattered towns, and the scenery on both sides is like a bypass full of chain stores common in rural areas. It is not very interesting, but from around Minami-Aizu, it becomes a comfortable touring road in the mountains.
On the way, we took a break at a nice station with a thatched roof.
I like solo touring more because I can easily make such spur-of-the-moment detours, stops, and route changes.
We continued on to Utsunomiya from the Kinugawa and Nikko areas. The sun was still shining when we entered Tochigi Prefecture, so we were able to enjoy the autumn colors while driving.
However, after 4:30 p.m., it already felt like night ..... At the roadside station, we watched the sun set and thought about our plans for the rest of the day.
Oh, that's right. It's Utsunomiya, after all.The dumplings I missed last time.Let's eat!
So, I headed for Utsunomiya on Route 121 after dark.
Before that, I wanted to take a rest, so I went to a super public bath in Utsunomiya City. After taking a bath, I lay down in the rest room for about an hour to recover my strength.
I took a break until after 9:00 p.m. I was hungry, so I headed to a dumpling shop I looked up on my phone.
Revenge for Gyoza in Utsunomiya
I parked at the municipal bicycle and motorcycle parking lot at Utsunomiya Station, which is free for the first four hours of parking, and went to the gyoza restaurant.
It was almost 10pm at this point. The time was a little late, so there were only a few restaurants I could go to. It seemed to be a popular restaurant, and there was a line in front of the restaurant: .... I have a policy of not standing in line when I eat alone, but I had a feeling that if I missed it this time, it would be next year, so I broke the prohibition and stood in line to eat.
I ordered a set menu: ...... I made a mistake: .... It's good, but the quantity is overwhelmingly small: ..... I'd like to have twice as much as this: ..... I'm not sure what to make of this, but I'm sure it's worth it.
I couldn't quickly look up on my phone what would happen if I left the highway after midnight on the return trip for the Tokyo metropolitan area touring plan, right?....
We had no choice but to have a quick bite to eat and then take the Tohoku Expressway......
Once we were on board, the ride was smooth and we entered the Metropolitan Expressway from Kawaguchi Junction.
It was nice and warm in the Yamate Tunnel on the Central Circular Route, which in the middle of summer is a place where you are prepared to die from the heat.
I returned home at midnight. The total distance traveled this time was about 750 km in two days. I think I did a good job for someone who is not feeling well.
I'll probably go 8,000km by the end of this month, so I'm going to change the oil and ...... Suspension change.
