I had a touring trip planned for Sunday, so I worked at home on Saturday. The weather isn't looking good either..... No, if the forecast is sunny...Nasu MSL Step-up Test RideI was going to ask if I could sign up the day before to go to .... I spent the day quietly inviting my staff to my house. I ordered this for lunch by mail order. 551 Hourai's Pork Buns & Chimaki & Shumai.
After work, if the weather had improved, I was going to fly the drone in the parking lot to take aerial photos of the bike, but I passed on that too.
It's Sunday! I'm going touring! To Mito.
So, it's Sunday. Woke up at 7:30am and left at 8am. My destination is Mito. It took me two hours to get there from home using the Tomei - Metropolitan Expressway - Joban route.
Where is Coco? 2Rinkan in Mito. I'm a member of the 2Rinkan group of monthly bike rentals, so at any 2Rinkan in the Kanto area, you only need to add 1,100 yen (insurance fee) for 24 hours to rent a bike. Today's touring vehicle is this one.
GSX-S1000F。GSX-S750 that I rented the other dayI'm in love with it, but I can't decide until I've ridden it..... So, I rented one.
I've been using it for a while now. The light and fluttery body looks like it would be fun on a winding road..... But ..... You can't see any mountains in the vicinity of Mito.
As usual, we started out with no plan, but we thought that the mountains we knew around here would be there, so we took the lower road.
To Nikko
So we are headed for Nikko. I can't attach my phone's navigation system, but unfortunately, the blue signs on the road I'm driving on say"宇imperial palace"and ... and"Nikkou"I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to see the word I paused every now and then to take my phone out of my pocket to check, but for now, I enjoyed riding the GSX-S1000F down the road. I stopped for lunch at a rest stop and had a waraji cutlet.
After eating, I drove for a while and saw a blue sign."Utsunomiya"The letters "Utsunomiya" are now appearing. The Nikko-Utsunomiya Road (Nikko Expressway) is a quick and easy way to get to Nikko, but since we might be using this vehicle to travel around Tokyo when the number of vehicles increases, we will consciously try to drive through the messy streets of Utsunomiya City to get to Nikko.
Then, when I was about to reach Irohazaka, I checked the vehicle again.
By the way, there is a bit of dirt on the lens, but this is from the insects that hit me on the Joban Road on the way .... Here they are!
In the sun
After taking a break, we headed up Irohazaka. It was a Sunday, but there were not many cars, so it was a pleasant ride. We took a quick photo at the ropeway stop on the way to Akechidaira, and then we were off to the Nikko area in no time.
If I were on my own bike, I'd go through Lake Chuzenji, pass the Kinseitoge, and head for Gunma..... But unfortunately, I have to return my bike to Mito, so I'm heading down Irohazaka ..... Unfortunately, there is a traffic jam on the way down.......
To Mito. To home.
I wanted to get home a little earlier today, so I took the expressway to Mito after passing through Utsunomiya. I got lost looking at the navigation system on my phone, but I was able to return the car before dark.
The store where I borrowed the bike had a SOX attached to it as well as the Mizonokuchi store, and there were quite a few bikes on display, so I took a break to look at the bikes instead......
We reached the Mito Interchange on the Joban Expressway as dusk was falling. At the PA on the way to Mito, we had our usual soft-serve ice cream.....
In no time at all, we reached the Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway from Joban Expressway: ..... But it's cold at night! I've been wearing a mesh jacket with inner lining, but it's not enough. I'm wearing a mesh jacket with inner lining, but it's just not enough. Hot cocoa break at the Yashio PA....
After that, I went home quickly and was lounging around the house by 9pm. Today's mileage was about 650km.
