I think I may have contracted Bell's Disease.......
This bike. I love it.
So...Right after I rented it, I knew it was a good bike. But after a full day of riding, I was convinced.
This is a model that has most of the elements I look for in a motorcycle.......
Here are some notes on my impressions. As usual, this is the ramblings of an amateur.
Lovely place.
- My favorite engine so far.
As I wrote in the article right after I borrowed it, I enjoyed opening and closing the gas pedal. The engine has a great feel that I'm sure I'll never tire of. I'm a big fan of two-cylinder bikes, but I'd love to have this engine on my Ninja 650........ I'd love to have this engine on my Ninja 650.
- Torque and power that can be handled
It has a comfortable footing and a low weight of 212kg, which is low for a 4-cylinder naked bike with a large displacement. I felt like I could use it. For my skill level, I tend to feel more like I'm being carried around by the bike or that I'm opening the throttle with restraint when I'm riding a liter class bike or higher. ..... I'm not sure if this is a feeling that will disappear if you keep the bike in your hands and ride it a lot......
- Winding is fun.
We had a great time riding the winding roads of Hakone, starting from the Turnpike. That's the StoFy. The stability of the bike, especially when cornering, is even better than the Ohlins Ninja 650. I thought so. In addition to the frame's rigidity, the Ninja 650's touring tires were still in stock from the first half of 2014, while this bike was equipped with the street-oriented BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S21 sports tires. This bike was running the street-legal BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S21 tires.
- I can run fast. I can run fast, I can trot.
A lot of this is due to the engine characteristics, but a lot of it is also due to the slightly lower riding position of the Ninja 650, which is a bit narrower than the Ninja 650 despite having bar handlebars. Once again, "Oh, the Ninja 650 is a sports tourer that's more like a tourer..... The Ninja 650 is a sports tourer with a tourer's attitude....
- Equipped with ABS & TRACON
I couldn't find any new Ninja 650s with ABS in stock, so I thought it would be a good idea to have one.......
- At first glance, the vehicle looks cheap, but the equipment used to run it is very cost effective.
These front calipers and upside down forks. Other four-cylinder cars in the same price range don't have such luxurious equipment, do they? (I'm just speaking from impression.....) (In the first place, 750cc class four-cylinder naked is an endangered species?)
The z900 that Kawasaki will release next month is similar in price and equipment, but with such a large displacement and 10.0 kgf-m torque, I'm afraid I won't be able to enjoy riding it on public roads. In that sense, 750cc (with a torque of around 8kgf-m) may be the perfect displacement for riding on public roads in Japan.
Hmm? What is it?
I don't like full digital gauges, and I wish tachometers were analog, but the tachometer on this vehicle was exceptionally easy to read. In the past.I found the XSR900's digital meter easy to read.So there are some types of things that are forgivable.
So. As of today, there are only three points, but one of them is fatal.....
- I don't like the way it looks.......
Hi. This is the only reason I'm dropping it from my list of candidates for a new car...... The design of the bike, with its crisp, straight lines, is a bit too combative and makes me feel embarrassed to ride it. I don't mind the curves of the Kawasaki z1000, even if it's the same sto-fi design...... There may be a solution to this problem by spending some money to customize the bike in a round light neoclassical style, but the requirement for a candidate for an additional vehicle is a vehicle that can be bought with two years of 500 yen coin savings: .... It's a good idea!....
- ass-kicking sheets
It was a little over half a day of touring with more breaks than usual, but on the way home, my ass hurt so badly that it broke into two pieces........ This is also a big weak point for me, because it seems difficult to make the design look like it's going to fall apart.
- Loadability
The rear seat is small and looks like it would be difficult to carry seat bags. I didn't take a good look at it, but it looks like it doesn't have many places for cargo hooks. As a candidate for an additional vehicle for work transportation, loading is an important point, so this is also dismissed.
GSX-S750F....Ready? (Holy shit.
No, you don't have to release the GSX-S750F. If they do release it, I'll be pretty torn between it and the Ninja 650.......
Therefore, I hope that Suzuki will release a Katana that utilizes the qualities of the GSX-S 750......
So, I'd like to rent this bike again and take my time to ride it, but unfortunately it's not a candidate for more cars!.....
But on the way home after returning the bike, I thought, "Maybe I'll replace the bar handlebars on my Ninja 650 with something a little narrower and lower......" I thought to myself.
What is it? This. When you have a girlfriend and you meet a wonderful woman of a different type.Complicated emotions.
