Let's replace the slider cones.
Fall in JuneThe right side of the Ninja 650's exterior has undergone extensive breaking-in.
As I mentioned before, I actually like the scratches on the cowl from the fall because they look a bit like weathering paint. It's kind of a reminder to myself.
So I have already gotten quotes from the dealer and Monotaro for the complete exterior, but I haven't purchased it yet. I'm thinking of leaving it like this until I'm ready to replace the left, right and tail at once.
However, I'm thinking that this is a bad idea if I don't replace the slider cone.
As the fall was quite severe, the mounting bolts are bent.
Unlike most of the sliders from other manufacturers, the BabyFace sliders are attached to the engine and frame in two places, so the frame may be affected a little. But I'm not worried about it because it doesn't affect the frame in any way that I can feel....
Because the mounting bolts were bent, the width from the body of the car was extremely short, and it was not able to serve as an engine guard. I decided it was time to replace it, so I emailed Babyface for the model number and ordered it from their website. I couldn't find any replacement parts for the old Ninja 650 and Ninja 400 on the web.
Can you loosen this screw?
So I installed it as soon as possible. It was Saturday when the heat came back again. As usual, the company staff came to my house to work from mid-morning to mid-afternoon, but I went down to the parking lot in the afternoon.
With an M8 hex wrench....
I used an on-board tool to extend the length and used the principle of leverage to loosen the mounting screws....
I don't even have a feeling that it's going to loosen up at all.
In a counterclockwise direction, apply as much force as you can so that the body of the car will fall over to the side stand before the screw loosens, but it's so hard that the body of the car will fall over first.
Is this thing held firmly in place by the screw fixing agent? Could it be?...
Give up and cool off in your room.
I was starting to sweat, so I decided to give up.
I'm going to ask the store to remove this....orz
So I quickly came back to my room and lazed around looking at my recently acquired trick art notebook.
Cleaning robot during naptime
So, I'm writing this blog now, but I'm going to take a nap now. I'm planning to go touring tomorrow, so I'll be careful not to sleep through the night and end up getting sleepy in the morning (flag).
By the way, I recently installed this at home.
This is a cleaning robot that wipes the flooring. All you have to do is attach a Quickle Wiper wet sheet to the robot, turn it on, and it will wipe the floor all over the room by itself. Unlike iRobot's Roomba robot vacuum cleaner, it makes almost no noise, so it can clean under the bed or sofa while you are sleeping, making it this year's best buy.
I used to spend one of my weekends cleaning my room, but now I feel like I have a little more time on the weekends because I usually let this thing sweep the floor.
Now, where should we go tomorrow?...
