It's supposed to rain, but we have a rental bike and not enough room in the car. If it gets wet, it's wet, right? So I set off at a little after 9:00 a.m. in the new Katana I borrowed last night. I don't remember what route I took... I think I drove along 246 for a while and then got on the Tomei highway from Aoba, Yokohama....ora
Adjust the mirrors and go to Hakone.
As soon as I rented the car, I noticed that the side mirrors were not in the right position for my super long seat height, making it difficult to see behind me when changing lanes. I thought this might be a little dangerous, so I slipped into the Hiratsuka PA in Odahatsu... Remove the seat.... I was about to pull out a tool. ,. It looks like there's only one hex and one wrench on the back of the seat... That's not all the tools, is it? If I use a hexagon to open one of them, I'll need more tools, right? I thought...... At any rate, I was able to adjust the mirror with this wrench, so it was OK. When I went to the restroom, I saw a sign that said the Turnpike was closed for the day. We ascended Mt. Taikan from Hakone Shindou.
Biker's Paradise Minami Hakone
I'll write a separate article on the bike, but compared to the GSX-S1000 (F), which was the base model, this new Katana is indeed a new bike with sophisticated behavior that is fun to ride.
From Daikan-yama, we took the Tsubaki Line down to Yugawara.
At Yugawara Parkway, we turned back toward Hakone. And here we are.
Biker's Paradise Minami Hakone, which recently opened as some kind of facility for riders.
I was meeting an acquaintance who rides a TRIUMPH, so I parked back next to him....
We took a look at the facilities. It looks like there is still a lot of land left, so they are going to expand it....
Hmmm... I'll pass on the impressions.
However, there is a bike rental service attached for 3000 yen per hour.
There was also a new Katana, and an attractive Husqvarna Svarthofpilen 401, so it would be fun to borrow a couple of cars in turn and enjoy the differences as we twisted and turned along the Tsubaki line. It might be fun to try it.
Fog... Rain... Go home....
I was in Biker's Paradise for about two hours because I met up with an acquaintance at the... I mean, there is a theory that I lost the timing to change due to the thick fog and drizzle......
There was no point in staying here forever, so we started our descent.
On the way down the mountain, I was wandering around."first"Udon noodles at Marukame Seimen....
In the parking lot, I took another look at the Katana....
The rest of the way, we just trotted along. It's a small tank, 12 liters with a full tank. So I refueled for the second time today.
When you're done hopping around, return the bike to the rental shop.
I'm done for the day after transferring to the Ninja that was in my care.
