The rainy season is over. I'm still a little afraid to go to other prefectures, but I'm trying to avoid the dense... To Gunma.
I'm leaving from my new house, but I'm not sure how to get to Kanpachi... Once we got to 246, the distance wouldn't be that much longer, but we thought we could cross the Tama River in the direction of Noborito, so we took Tsukui Road to Setagaya Street... But the ring road was jammed!...
Despite Governor Koike's request to refrain from going out, the streets are overflowing with vehicles with Tokyo plates. I thought it would be the same all the way to the Kan-etsu, so I changed my route to the Chuo to Ken-ou Expressway and headed for the Kan-etsu.
Long time no pain touring
I didn't feel it when I rode around the neighborhood or went to Hakone, but when I rode for a little over two hours straight... My ass is sore!
I guess it's normal, but compared to the comfortable seat of the Ninja 650, which doesn't give me any ass pain, I can't ride it the same way.
This time, we went on with the occasional butt rest break after this.
Gunma, Japan.
At first I was thinking of going to Kusatsu, but the Shiga-Kusatsu-Kogen route is still closed, so I can't go through Shibutoge and return via Manza... Since the GoTo campaign has started and Kusatsu is likely to be crowded, I thought I'd avoid the dense traffic... So.......
Spring at Lake Notan
I deviated from the national highway along the Azuma River running toward Kusatsu and headed for Lake Notan.
There was a bit of fog as we gained elevation, but we arrived at our destination through a comfortable mountain road winding to my liking.
Unfortunately, I couldn't see the surface of the lake from the observation area due to fog... There doesn't seem to be a circular road to Lake Notan, but there is a lakeside road to the campsite at the end of the road, so we continued on our way....
The fog had lifted and the scenery was beautiful, and even though it was August, I could hear the warblers singing. The temperature is comfortable here at 1602 meters above sea level.
one's way back
So far, I've ridden about 270km, but I've had my fill of touring on the GSX-S1000, where the bike is faster than me. I'm going back the way I came because I have a friend coming to my house at night.
We ate soba noodles and mini curry at Roadside Station Rokugo, a little down from Lake Notan....
In the store, I saw a 50-year-old Yamaha with 1,500km on the odometer. I thought it was an SR at first glance, so I sent a picture to my friend, and he replied, "That's probably a DT.
As usual, I had to take a break to get home, but the Kan-etsu highway was completely empty. The Kan-etsu highway was empty, and I made it to Tokyo without knowing about any traffic jams.
I've always wanted to travel with a Ninja."For running"
Well, this time."What would it be like for a guy who has enjoyed traveling on a carefree tourer to take a similar route on a GSX-S1000 with a reasonably fast engine?"I was also trying to verify... I don't know, as I mentioned before..."The bike is faster than me."The advantages and disadvantages of this are...
If I were on the Ninja 650, I would have stopped for a walk or even made a U-turn to get back to the bike. With the GSX-S1000, I felt like the engine was rushing me, so I just let it go... On the other hand, the GSX-S1000 is more fun to ride on winding roads because of its sturdy suspension, and it's much more fun to ride.
All right, all right, let's have a good time riding two different cars.
