I'm going to tweak this bike a bit.
I switched to the Ninja 650 from a different displacement 400 because of its striking shape.
Although I've added a GSX-S1000 to my fleet, I'll continue to ride it for a long time as I consider it to be my wife. One of the reasons I added the GSX-S1000 was so I wouldn't have to extend the mileage of the Ninja 650.
After switching from the Ninja 400, which was almost completely stock except for the LED headlights in both eyes.
On the Ninja 650, we installed OHLINS front and rear suspension, radial brake masters and mesh hoses to improve performance, and Hepco & Becker C-BOWs, Napoleon long mirrors, and a large Puig rear fender to optimize the bike for travel. I've been trying to solve some of the problems I had with the 400.
However, it is a reimported minor unpopular model. There are almost no special parts available in Japan. Because of its unpopularity, there is no know-how for customization, so this is about as far as an amateur can go.
I've also found some parts like the Touratech BoosterPlug, which falsifies the intake air temperature and sends a thicker mixture, but I'm not going to mess with the engine because the Ninja 650 is so easy to drive and handle.
In that sense, the Ninja 650 is almost complete for me at this point.
Now it's almost normal.
I found a used GSX-S1000 at a dealership a few minutes ago. I found a used GSX-S1000 at a dealership for a few minutes, and signed a contract just by looking at it from the front while standing in line.
After I signed the contract, I had the car body sent to me again to check."This thing? Is it really going to work?"It has a strange slider that gives the impression of
I looked it up and found that it was a very cheap Chinese accessory.
The rest is completely normal, except for the Kijima helmet lock. By the way, I bought the Kijima helmet lock before I got the car, so I have one left over.
List of things I want to do (I'm not saying I will do them.)
I had a hard time deciding between the GSX-S750 and the GSX-S1000, but the rental GSX-S1000 didn't give me a bad impression, so I decided to go for the GSX-S1000.
I'm starting to think that I can leave it like this for the time being. But unlike the Ninja 650, I'm planning to make some changes to this bike, including its appearance.
Round eyes + Meter visor
I'd like to see if it's possible to transplant smart LED headlight units that are too thin or too small, such as the CB1000R's stock headlight or external LEDs for Harley.
By the way, there is a guy in the GSX-S1000 community on Facebook who has transplanted the headlight unit from an SV650. I'm hoping to get a meter visor like this one to hide the ETC receiver.
By the way, the product in this picture isthisAluminum screen for CB1000R
Fenderless and splash guards
I know that as a style, fenderless would look better on me.
I didn't want to do it because of the possibility of causing trouble to others by splashing mud or something, but when I was wandering around YouTube, I saw a car wearing a splash guard.
I'm wondering if I can install this as a set so that it won't bother the cars behind me.
LED lights
The headlights will be converted to round LED eyes. I'll probably just replace the LED bulbs temporarily, but that leaves the blinkers. I've already bought these, so I just need to install them.
Rumor has it that the initial lot was not long enough for the GSX-S1000 and needed to be modified, but the current version seems to be easy to install (to be installed soon).
Outside muffler
People who have replaced their mufflers with non-JMCA compliant mufflers, not for performance or design improvement, but to increase the sound level, and then put them back every time they have their vehicle inspected, are not going to be able"Below Children"I'm the type of person who thinks that a muffler is a good thing, but I might change it for the GSX-S1000. The purpose is... To make it quieter.
The sound of a manufacturer's obsession: .... I personally feel that the sound is very good, but I know that the volume is just a noise for people who are not interested in motorcycles.
I really like the design with the same volume as stock... I mean, if it's a Suzuki, this is it! I was thinking of installing Yoshimura's Cyclone R-11sq.
Looking at the torque and power curves on the official site, you'd have to rev it up pretty high to see any improvement in performance, and if you want that, you'd have to rewrite the ECU..... The standard R-11 will have less torque at low rpm.... Even with the rq model, at low rpm, it's just a design change.... So I removed it from my purchase list.
Here's what I found instead.
Probably the only JMCA compliant muffler that is louder than stock.
This is a level that is just barely acceptable for early morning and late night departures and returns.
Now all I have to do is find the torque and power curves somewhere and get started.
Carbon... or fake carbon parts
Especially the front fenders. I'm thinking of adding some carbon fiber parts to improve the cheap look of the paint.
suspension
...So far, I haven't felt any dissatisfaction... When I rode the earlier model GSX-S1000F, I felt the rear suspension bouncing a lot, but I don't feel that so much on the later model. I haven't adjusted the suspension yet, but from the feel of the footing, I think the preload is probably set too hard for a tandem, but I'll think about it after I get used to riding. My choices are OHLINS or Nitron.
brake
Brembo on the frontsunboThe calipers themselves are still intact. I want to change the hoses to stainless mesh... I'd like to change the hoses to stainless mesh...
