It's been a while since we've seen a lull in the self-restraint of the Corona disaster because we need to get the economy going. Last time"Fukushima touring with GoTo lodging"This time, I'm going to Tochigi and Gunma to see the autumn leaves. I woke up at 6:00 a.m., which is early for me because the traffic jam on the highway is back to normal.
I did, but as usual, I was lounging around in my room. It was just after 7 a.m. when I saw on the news that traffic was already congested on the Tohoku Expressway, so I continued to dawdle... But when I saw this shadow on the wall of my house, I felt like "I have to go! I had to go!
The shadow cast by the IKEA doll in the window.
So I left home at 8:00 am.
Kirifuri Plateau to the north.
From Yoga, I took the Metropolitan Expressway to the Tohoku Expressway.
I refueled, checked the air pressure, and drove smoothly....
Heading towards Oku-Nikko. Now that I'm getting used to the powerful torque of the GSX-S1000, I'm only using 4th gear when cruising at 100km/h on the Ninja 650... I'm no longer looking for that fantastic 7th gear.
So we headed to Kirifuri Kogen, avoiding the crowds in the Nikko and Chuzenji-ko area as much as possible.
I like Tochigi Prefectural Road 23.
Then we searched for a detour route to avoid the traffic jam. I found a road that looked good, so I set my destination as"Kawamata Simple Post Office"I set it at a point I found on the map and set off. And this is where I ended up.
The shore of Lake Kawamata along Tochigi Prefectural Road 23. A superb view.
After that, we were still on this road. The restaurant where I had a bowl of bear meat before. We passed The last time I asked the store owner about this road while we were eating, he advised me not to take it because it was narrow and rough. The road was indeed narrow and steep, and we had to be careful not to get separated, but the autumn leaves were beautiful.
We had fun turning on the GoPro's shooting button every time we came to a nice autumn leaf area. I won't post the video because it's a pain to edit.
But this road is a good road. You can go through to Lake Chuzenji and also to the entrance of Kinsei Road, which is convenient to go through to Gunma.
Seeing snow at Kinsei Pass
So, of course, we didn't head towards Lake Chuzenji, where traffic jams are expected. We took a break at the lakeside of Lake Yunoko, where the entrance to the Kinsei Road is located....
We took the Kinsei Road to Gunma, where today's lodging was located.
The autumn colors here are also quite beautiful, but I'm not in the mood for them because Tochigi Prefectural Road 23 is so wonderful. I even stopped to take some pictures, but the reason I stopped my bike was because...
It was cold.
This time, I came with autumn gear. Up to this point, I was able to ride with just the grip heater, but my upper body started to get cold... I took out an electric heating jacket from my seat bag and put it on.
After a short distance, we reached Kinsei Pass.
Well... You can't tell from the picture, but there's snowflakes in the air....
Well, the time has come when touring at high altitudes is no longer possible. I saw later that it was like this after sunset.
After entering Gunma, we headed for the inn. On the way, I passed by this place. The lights were on, so I asked myself, "What? Can we eat here even at this hour? So I parked my car.
Unfortunately, it was only sold to-go. We went straight to the hotel to check in....
I went to a nearby set meal restaurant and had the 1.5 times the size of the set meal. This restaurant was crowded with customers constantly coming in, but it was super delicious and I would like to revisit.
After eating, I went to a nearby drugstore to get some drinks and snacks using the GoTo coupon I got at the hotel. After returning to my hotel room, I watched a movie on my iPad and finished my first day.
My original plan was to check out the autumn leaves in the direction of Manza tomorrow, but after seeing the snow at Kinsei Pass, I'll have to think of a route that doesn't go up too high.
