I woke up at 6:00 a.m. with my alarm because breakfast at the hotel was at 6:30.
But the departure time is 2 hours and a half later. I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel after all.
I thought I'd stop for gas first. There are gas stations near the Shibukawa-Ikaho Interchange, so I thought it would be easy to get there. When I got to Route 17, I found that the road going north from the interchange was pretty congested.
The road from the branch for Kusatsu Onsen that I saw on the way was also quite crowded... I hadn't decided on a particular destination for today, and was thinking of heading back south from the Manza direction, but... I didn't want to jump into that crowd....
Akagi, Haruna, Myogi
So we headed for Ikaho Onsen, which I've never been to before. We refueled at the entrance to the hot spring resort....
I went to the shore of Lake Haruna. It's another beautiful day, but the leaves are still changing color around here.
As you go up a little higher in altitude, the temperature drops and you can see the changing colors of the leaves, but the peak season here is probably in November.
After that, we went on a winding road towards Tsumagoi. I'm not sure what kind of road it is, but it's probably"acronymD"It was a very pleasant route, except for the super slowdown zones and the deliberately undulating road surface, which may have been installed by some idiot inspired by the area. I think I'll come back here again.
We kept going, and before we knew it, we were on a road we knew... This is... This is the road we took to Kusatsu....
This is the kind of thing that happens when you're just driving along looking at the blue signs. We got our bearings and started heading south toward Karuizawa.
I knew it would be crowded in Karuizawa.
After getting through the traffic jam at the toll gate, we arrived at Karuizawa, where the traffic was still very congested. After eating dinner, we passed through the Usui Pass and headed for the terrible road No. 17.
We wandered around, trying not to get too close to the city, and it was 14:00. We took a break at a convenience store. As the temperature drops, we have to take more bathroom breaks.
one's way back
I had a feeling that the Kan-etsu highway would be very crowded on the way home from today's traffic, so I got on the highway from the Fujioka IC and headed home in the light.
We headed for Nerima on the Kan-etsu highway without encountering any major traffic jams....
We got home safely after 6pm. It's been a while since I've toured on the Ninja 650, but it's still a lot better than going on the GSX-S1000."sense of traveling"The weather was high. It's supposed to be sunny again next weekend, so it's time for the GSX-S. Next time, I'll choose a route with more winding roads.
Sudden chattering sound
Actually, on the way home. To cross the Tama River from Kanpachi."Setagaya Street... Or take the Tomei to save time...."When I was thinking about it, the navigation system pointed me to Route 20, so I followed it. But as soon as I entered Route 20, the voice guidance of the Yahoo! Navigation System was cut off and I got lost. I was driving in a random direction, letting my knowledge of the land guide me. On the way, I slowed down for a red light."Bibbity-bobbity-beeee!"It's an awesome chattering sound. From the sound of it, it sounded like the cowl was vibrating and not the engine.... The sound was not coming from the engine, but from what I could tell, it was coming from the RPM range of 2,500 to 3,000. The sound is the same when accelerating, decelerating, and even when the clutch is disengaged, so I guess this is the cowl resonating.
Well, it looks like the screw holding the cowl is loose or the clip is off, so I'll take a look next time.
