Annual model changes for motorcycles. Sometimes there is a minor change in styling or function, but even if there is nothing, a color change is the norm.
In my case, I didn't plan to buy one at first, but I stopped by Kawasaki Plaza and found a 2014 model in candy lime green that I like, so it's not a problem.

The same candy lime green color is also painted on the front fender of the 2015 model, while the 2014 model has a black front fender. The 2014 model's front fender is black. It's a small difference that you won't notice unless you're the owner, but when I'm riding along and see a Ninja 400 of the same color, I look at the front fender. I'm not a fan.
