Planned Place 1: Oyster Hippo Bowl
The weather for the weekend was sunny on Saturday and downhill on Sunday afternoon. So we decided to go touring on Saturday this week, and spent the night before considering possible locations.
I had decided a few days ago that I was going to eat this this weekend.
Winter-only gourmet "Oyster Hippo Bowl" at Hamamatsu and Hamanako
A bowl of rice topped with boiled oysters grilled with eel sauce and garnished with onions, seaweed, and tangerine peel.
I love oysters and eat more than 100 oysters in a winter, and eel is also my favorite. I want to eat this.
Planned Site 2: Yamaha Communication Plaza & Suzuki History Museum
Come to think of it, I've rarely been to the Hamamatsu area by motorcycle.Rent a Ducati DiavelI remember that I passed through Hamamatsu City when I was touring, but for some reason I can't confirm it because I didn't write an article about my touring destination.
The touring course is"Low traffic, preferably on a winding road."I wanted to run on the Tomei/Tokaido highway, so the Hamamatsu area was not a good candidate.
So, when it came time to go to Hamamatsu, there were other places I wanted to visit.I've written about this as a potential touring destination before.But.....Of Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, and Kawasaki, all three companies except Kawasaki originated in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. So.There is an exhibition hall in Hamamatsu City where you can see motorcycles from various manufacturers. This is the first time I've done this.
So, I chose these two places this time. The Suzuki Museum of History requires a reservation, but I was able to make one the night before from my phone.
I set up the route on my phone well in advance. It is an easy touring course of about 500km if you drive while stopping at Omaezaki and other places.
でAfter we had decided on our schedule, we asked ourselves, "Huh? Isn't the road surface icy around Gotenba on the Tomei Expressway? I was curious about that.
As of Friday night, it was raining around my house. It was raining around my house as of Friday night, and when I looked at the app on my phone, it was raining in Gotemba, too, and the forecast was for snow flurries in the evening......
What about tomorrow morning? I thought I'd check.....
In Gotemba, it was below freezing in the early morning after rain and snow the day before........I checked the JARTIC website and both the Tomei and New Tomei are restricted due to the spraying of anti-freeze.It's on........
By the time I get home, I'll have to wash the underside of the car......
Course change: ..... Change of plans. Baggage arrival.
So, we easily changed our course. We decided to eat whale food in Boso Peninsula and went to bed....... The next day. I woke up at 9:30. The Boso Peninsula is close by, so even if we left at 10:00, we could have lunch around Chikura.......I checked on my phone and the wind speed at Umihotaru is over 10 meters (crying).
The temperature was expected to be about 4 degrees Celsius higher on Sunday, so we postponed our touring schedule to Sunday. So, while I was lazing around at home, this arrived from Amazon.
I repurchased the exact same pair of safety shoes from Otafuku Gloves because I had a hole in my toe. I have high instep and wide Japanese feet, and they fit me perfectly in size 4E.
I like them a lot, so for the time being, I will fight with these instead of buying riding shoes from motorcycle equipment manufacturers.
Maintenance for tomorrow
With my daytime schedule completely gone, I decided to do some maintenance on the bike for tomorrow's touring. Today, I cleaned the drive sprocket, which I had been wondering about but pretended not to see.
Ninja 400ではIf you pretend not to see it for more than 20,000 kilometers, you'll have to fight a lot of filth. It's a place with a story behind it.
As expected, the amount of dirt accumulated after just over 8,000 km is less than at 20,000 km, but it is still a good amount.....
I cleaned and lubricated the chain. After the work was completed, the rear wheel on the maintenance roller became so smooth that I could spin it around with one hand.
I also checked the coolant level with my phone's camera by sticking my hand inside the cowl.
By the way, the drive sprocket cover cannot be removed with the on-board tool, so you will need this kind of tool.
Huh? Tomorrow?......
So I went back to my room to take a break, and I got one email: ..... The title is "[XX Year-End Party/Bounenkai 2017] Reminder"
Oh, by the way, you've got a year-end party planned for tomorrow during the day..... Huh? I can't go touring this week either? Could it be?.....
