As usual, impulsive business hotel reservations.
This week's weather forecast has been changing daily due to the typhoons that have hit for two weeks in a row, but it looks like it will be a sunny three-day weekend. Today, Saturday, the weather is perfect. Seeing the improvement in the weather forecast, I impulsively booked a business hotel as usual, so this is how I plan to run tomorrow.
It looks like the typhoon will pass north faster than expected, so I could have booked a hotel in Tohoku....
Touring goods added
Okay. The other day's bonfire petit-twoThe courier arrived today in the morning because I was stimulated by the desire to see my friend's goods.
Laugh's B6-kun and Helinox Tactical Chair (L size)
I immediately set it up in my room, oohing and aahing. Yup. Easy. At least I can set it up in about five minutes with both of them.
Helinox is not Chair One, but a daring tactical chair. And I went with the L size.Hepco & Becker Side BagThe size of the bag is small enough to fit in the seat bag, so it looks easy to use. I have a feeling that if I reduce my other luggage, it will just barely fit in the seat bag.
This will make it easier to take a break in a scenic spot or on a riverbank or beach in cold weather.
Cleaned the chain, too. Now I need to search for hot springs and food.
As usual, I have a work schedule on Saturday, but I took the time to clean the chain in the parking lot. I thought it was time to change it... I searched the web and found that the closest bike store to my house, Rough and Road Kawasaki, is offering 40% off chains until October 21, so I'll replace it after this touring.
So, this will be my last long tour with this chain. I took the maintenance toolbox #1 out of my room and went down to the parking lot. I put the rear stand on the roller and cleaned and lubed the chain with ease.
I skipped the cleaning for a while, but it didn't look too bad since I only lubricated it from time to time. I finished the cleaning quickly, but... I was all sweaty after only 20 to 30 minutes of work.
It's hard to choose the right clothes for tomorrow. It will be cooler at higher elevations... Okay. I'll think about it while searching for hot springs and food.
