Weekday bonfire party the other dayBut my SR riding friends and I used to talk about how we used to be able to ride our bikes in the middle of winter with t-shirts and MA-1s, but now that I'm an old man, I can't ride for long periods of time in the middle of winter without my winter gear!...
My meat tech (i.e., body fat) is increasing, which should be advantageous for keeping me warm, but I guess the main reason is that my basal metabolism has dropped and my body's calorific value has decreased.
I was blown away when one of my friends called the use of subcutaneous fat to protect against cold "meat tech.
So, I've been wearing Heatech electric heating clothes (jacket and pants) and grip heaters on my bike since the winter just after my return, but once I got used to the heat, I started to say things like "the back of my hands and fingers are cold" or "my toes are cold". "My toes are cold." The other day, I finally bought an extra pair of these.
This is an electric heating glove from Heatech. The pocket on the sleeve of the jacket originally contains a line for connecting the glove, so it can be connected to that.
the other dayBoso Tunnel TouringI went out for the first time with it on.
The problem of not being able to turn on the power
I went out thinking, "I'm invincible today with this," but right after I left, I pressed and held the switch on my glove, but the LED didn't light up and I didn't get warm... I thought, "It's the same as a jacket or pants anyway, right? I went out without reading the manual because I thought it would be the same as jackets and pants, and I thought there must be a way to use it, so I tried various ways during a break at a convenience store, but...
It's not working... I asked my friend who also uses Heatech top and bottom + gloves on Facebook Messenger, "Something doesn't turn on. He replied, "It's the same as the jacket, just press and hold the switch. By the way, the jackets and pants are turned on in the first part of this video, but they get warm really easily.
During the touring, I tried many times to reconnect the glove, but in the end, it didn't work... When I googled during the break, it seems that the 2016 model Heatech glove I bought has a lot of problems, and I only see negative reviews like "I returned it after a long struggle" or "the power turns off by itself"....
"I guess I should have bought the latest model even if it costs a little more..." I vow to read the manual and contact the seller when I get home, reflecting on the situation.
This glove, by the way. This glove is supposed to be warmed by electric heating, so it is not so warm when it is turned off....
Is it possible to get a direct connection?....
So, today. After seeing all the bad reviews, I have to isolate what's wrong with it. It could be that the wiring on my jacket side is broken on both sleeves.
So, I went to the parking lot with the attached cable to connect to the line that was being put out by Bach directly.
On the day of the touring, I naturally thought I could get power via the jacket, so I didn't take this cable with me. So, I connected it directly to the battery with the glove alone and turned it on....
It's warming up..... It's possible that the jacket side is broken. I'm not sure if this is the case, but I'm pretty sure it is.
I'm going to visit a friend of mine who is using the Heatech top and bottom + gloves in the near future, and I'll try to connect to him via his jacket....
If it's a wire break on the jacket side, I'll have an excuse to buy the 3.5 AMP version and replace the electric heating jacket, which I kind of regret, with the 7 AMP version.
