Sleeping in even when traveling. And.... .there's Heatech....
The hotel offers a free breakfast buffet at 6:30 a.m., so I set my alarm for 6:00 a.m... Yes. The rare time is almost 9:00... I read "Kaiji" until midnight last night, and that's why I lost.
...And check out is at 10:00... The parking lot and bicycle parking lot are already empty... It's no wonder.....
So, even though I'm late, I'm getting ready to leave too. Loaded up... Connected the electric heating wear to the bike... Put on the helmet... First, turn on the power of the garment when you get on the bike....I can't get the pants side to turn on.
I've tried rewiring the connectors, but no luck... The electric jacket and gloves are brand new, purchased late last year and replaced for a fee, so they're fine, but now I'm having trouble with the pants side... I think it's probably a broken wire somewhere.
The weather was fine. It was warm enough with the jacket and gloves on low mode, so I started running.
Aiming for Omaezaki
I stayed at Lake Hamanako. If I could wake up early, I would take the Suruga Bay Ferry to Ise for a short visit, but I overslept and my electric pants were out of order. I had a feeling that it would get cold running at night, so I decided to take a quiet course toward Kanto. We headed for Omaezaki first.
The bypass was no fun to drive, so we took the rough road along the coast. There were many wind turbines along the coast along the way. I see, it's a region where the wind is strong all year round... I was reminded of that.
After driving for a while, we came to the seaside and enjoyed the round horizon as we did yesterday.
I had set the navigation system to the Omaezaki Lighthouse, but the embankment on the ocean side was high due to the tsunami warning, and I couldn't find a point where I could look at the ocean with the bike while riding, so I didn't. We took a break at a fishing port in Omaezaki, guided by a sign we saw.
The fishing boats anchored in the harbor were decorated with many Hinomaru flags to celebrate the New Year. As someone who has a little background in design due to my work, I thought to myself, "The balance of the Hinomaru is almost perfect..." I thought to myself as I looked out at the beautiful sea.
Let's be careful with the battery.
We stopped at a convenience store to discuss the route we were going to take. It might be cold without electric pants in the mountains... So I thought I'd take the ferry to Izu to get a venison steak, which is supposed to be open from today, but the departure time of the ferry is not exactly right.
Well, I guess I'll just go home... I got on the bike. As usual, I turn on the heater, and then turn on the cell....What? The cell is weak... Why won't it start?
I had a feeling that it might work, so I tried to start it a few times... The cell did not turn over at all. What? Did I give you a battery early in the new year?I was in a hurry. The words "insurance company's road service..." flashed through my mind. But I calmly turned off the engine key. I unplugged the connector of the electric heater and tried again... I felt like I was on the edge, but I was able to successfully start the car by agitating the gas pedal.
After that..."Electric heating ON after engine start"I'll be running at high rpm for a while to keep the battery charged.
0% chance of precipitation?
I wanted to stop by my ex-family's place on the way back to see how the cat was doing, and I decided to warp off at high speed after putting a line in the mail saying, "I'll stop by around after 6pm~. If I went too fast, my lower half would be cold, so I went at a moderate speed....
When I was doing that... When I was doing that... there were more and more clouds in my path... I thought I saw raindrops on my helmet......We encountered some heavy rain.
Lucky for us, we were just 1km away from the Aitaka PA when it started to rain, so we took shelter in a hurry. It was a super fine play to take shelter from the rain before my body got really wet.
The weather forecast has a 0% chance of precipitation....
It seems that a passing rainstorm was just passing through this area. Looking at the rain cloud map, it looked a little suspicious ahead. The forecast map showed that the rain clouds would pass to the north, so we took a break for about an hour while eating ramen noodles.
We got off the Tomei Expressway at the Numazu Interchange, as there was traffic ahead.
It was snowing in Hakone on the way home....
The sky was completely tinted with sunset. Let's leave the downward route from here to the navigation system.
And here I am, making the same mistake I made last year.
We are now in the middle of the Hakone Ekiden traffic jam. The temperature gauge on the shoulder of the road, which was 7 degrees Celsius at the beginning of the climb, was rapidly dropping, and the temperature was getting lower and lower....The temperature finally dropped to zero before Hakone Pass... And the road surface is wet, and there's even a little snow on the ground...
When this happens, the snow suddenly gets stronger and starts to accumulate... or the road surface starts to freeze... It's been about 10 years since I was in Hakone. There was a time, about 10 years ago, when I came to a hot spring in Hakone by car, and when I got out of the bath, it started snowing so hard that it took me 8 hours to get back to Tokyo, but with a motorcycle, if I'm not careful, I may not be able to return home until spring comes.
We hurriedly turned onto the Hakone-Shindo road, using a lot of slip-throughs. At first, we descended the wet Hakone-Shindo road carefully while cooking hazards... After dropping a bit in elevation and the temperature rising, we started to slip through.
I finally got down to the foot of the mountain and got on the Tomei highway from Odata Atsu, and patted my chest at Ebina SA....
After this, I went to check on my cat, and then came home, and the first touring of the new year was over... It was kind of a dull trip, wasn't it?
